    Hi Janis, nice job. I just wanted to point out that the difference between DDI and DDD is that in DDI the atrial tracking is off and DDD the atrial tracking is on. DDI is used in instances when the SA node is firing at a rapid rate and you would not want the pacemaker to respond to every one of those P waves as it could precipitate pacemaker mediated tachycardia. By switching to DDI mode not every P wave is tracked. this is a bit of a simplistic explanation but just wanted to help people understand the difference in those 2 modes

    The pacemaker does not sense QRS complex- it only senses the R wave
