Excellent video and site...But why my previous comment was erased ? Comment in wich i suggest, one "Film Study" with another Cuban and one of the greatest Greco-Roman wrestlers of all times ,Mijain Lopez, still active in search of his 4th Olympic Gold in the categoriy of 120-130 kg....(On top of his 5 Worlds Championships and 4 Panamericans Golds ?
The most common and effective defense used against me when I get this grip is for them to use their far hand to post on my chest/shoulder area. Sometimes with forearm across the throat. Any tips or video you can suggest for dealing with this effectively?
@@SauceMario If you mean on the feet, when they're reaching across to post you can pop the arm up and shoot a double to the far hip, or duck under to the back
This was amazing, our coach always emphasised russian ties and this is great material to work on and improve with. Thanks so much!
Never thought I’d see the day someone made Greco-Roman seem even remotely interesting well done Ryan
I liked this alot
Loved this. Waiting for part 2!
Damn, that was impressive.
So informative. Thanks Ryan for making this!

Fantastic!
Awesome series. Can you cover some of the technical russian wrestlers like the Saitev Brothers after?
I'm working on an Arsen Fadzayev one right now!
@@TheFightSite 🔥🔥🔥 awesome. Looking forward to it
Do a video on the finishers. I'm getting the tie thanks to this video. But I'm not 100% sure what to do afterwards lol
Is there a part two to this amazing video? I haven't been able to find it.
Excellent when is part 2 coming?
Interesting. I've used the Russian tie often in jiujitsu and while there's differences, that hand fighting showed a lot I wasn't picking up on.
Russian ties are great for BJJ as well. Great way to isolate an arm for a butterfly sweep or set up an arm drag to the back
