- Today we take a look at a Fremont Jack by Northwoods Knives. Northwoods Knives is owed by knivesshipfree.com and they are currently produced by Great Eastern Cutlery.
The Northwoods Fremont Jack is a really cool traditional sleeveboard knife pattern. It is on the GEC 79 frame and features a modified sheepsfood 1095 blade. This particular one is in Giraffe bone and looks absolutely amazing.
I hope you enjoyed taking a look at my favorite traditional slip joint pattern, the Northwoods Knives Fremont Jack.
Thanks for watching and have a great day!
It's absolutely beautiful, Joe. Thanks for giving us a look at it. I really hope Northwoods keeps making that pattern, because it's a traditional grail to me. Cheers.
Thanks and me too! I love this pattern, but they are tricky to get...
Man I can’t stop looking at it!!!!!!
It has that effect, dosen't it😂😂
DANG!!! That is a good looking knife!! Looks like a Schatt Morgan, but with micarta handles. That natural crack in the bone on the other knife gives it character. It's a gorgeous knife! Thanks for showing it!
Thanks buddy! I have never seen bone look like this! Love it!
That is absolutely beautiful. It was a grail knife for me. We spoke about it recently. I just got my first one. It's in smoke burlap micarta. Glad you were able to get one in New condition.

Good luck buddy, they are hard to come by, but totally worth the effort👍
What a beauty! Congrats!
Thanks buddy, you know ive been looking for a long time😀 still will take yours whenever your ready👍👍
Love the look of these knives. I've been watching ebay and other spots for one, but they're all very expensive at this point. I really hope they do another run on these knives in the future. I wasn't collecting traditional knives when these originally came out.
Yeah buddy, its a tough traditional to find and expensive, and now that GEC is not making Northwoods anymore, who knows how hard they will be to get....
Gotta love it
Thanks buddy, loving it👍
Still loving it.
Yo Joe holly smokes beautiful piece!!!!!!! Now that’s the piece in my collection I don’t have....... that’s a grail too me!!!!!! Thanks bud enjoy it!!!!!!
Thanks buddy, yeah ive bern looking for this one for a long time...torally worth the wait👍
From what I understand it was made on the GEC 79 workhorse pattern
Yes! The 79 and 78 are both the same dimensions, just reversed 👍
Awesome knife! Where did you score it from
Thanks buddy, got it off of a private seller on Instagram 👍
Hey Joe! Really digging that pattern but my love for Trappers will not be overtaken. Great knife tho
Thanks buddy! Yeah the trapper has a ton of history and i have seen some more beautiful trappers in my day👍
