I grew up with Sony, going way back to their Walkman in the 80s. It’s just a brand that I trust, never had a problem with their products. Recently bought the LinkBuds S and I’m loving them!
@@its_alex1621 Yes, still Very good. Really pleased with them. They’re comfy, light, have great battery life and sound excellent. Definitely recommend them.
I consider myself a semi-Apple ecosystem user, with iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch (but no Mac). I still went for the Linkbuds S because the comfort is amazing, the quality is really good, and I was able to get it for a good deal (almost at USD 160 in my country’s currency). Also since I’m a PC user and I also have a spare Android phone, the seamless connectivity between my different devices really makes the Sony the only option. Multipoint is also icing on the cake. Maybe when the first USB-C Airpods come out, I’ll give that a try but for now I’m really happy with my Linkbuds S.
The problem with connectivity is that sonys and any brand tbh works amazing with androids.. but apple has a lot of support for apple products only. No matter what you do and how much you spend, youll not get non apple products to connect to apple devices as easily as they get connected to android devices
in europe airpods pro 2 cost 300e and linkbuds s is 150e...hopefully black friday offers a good deal on linkbuds s then i will buy it. definitely not sure airpods pro 2 worth that much money...
i had the airpods pro 2 and thye sound good but returned it because for me i think its not worth the 300e price tag, but on black friday i bought the linkbud s for 120e and honestly i did not regret getting them
I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about comfort levels between the two. I have pretty small ears and was specifically looking for a review from someone that has that too, and was hoping to hear more on it. Could you share your experiences with them and whether you were able to wear them comfortably for multiple hours?
@@s1moni336 I have both and can confirm. The AAPP2 feel extremely better then the linkbuds. The linkbuds feel almost non existent at first but after even just half an hour they leave my ears hurting.
Great video and super helpful. I'm currently using an LG v60 and iPhone 11 pro max and thinking about which wireless earbuds to use for call quality and audio quality as the two most important features for me. The link buds are currently about 60% of the price of the AirPod pro 2 (I've ruled out other wireless earbuds for a range of reasons including lack of long term firmware and app support and for a few other reasonsl.
Ordered a pair of Sony LinkBuds S yesterday. I got them for only 119 euros which was on a sale. So many good reviews for them. Can't wait to get a hold of them!!!
I have the Sony link buds s but I’m debating on getting the AirPods 2. My wife is wanting the link buds 2 because they are so light and everything. I’m debating on the airpods 2 for me now.I just can’t decide if it’s a big upgrade for the price difference. Dont know if I should get another pair of these or AirPods 2.
Well I’m not sure if you’re talking about the AirPod 2’s or The 2nd Generation AirPod Pro’s. If you’re talking about the Pro’s like I suspect you are, I will say this: IF you are using an iPhone then I would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THEM. Admittedly I haven’t had a pair of the linkbuds S but I do own a pair of the AirPod Pro 2nd Generation’s, and they’re GREAT!! Especially because unlike when I bought them, you can get them at Best Buy for $200. Idk what your use case is, I can tell you about my experience with them. Very very long story short, I’m a nearly 40 year old Fully Disabled Combat Veteran and one of the issues I suffer from is SEVERE tinnitus. About a year ago I found that wearing earbuds helps A LOT!! Noise cancelling is even better. I know I’m a rare case but I actually wear mine all day from the time I get up until I go to bed. The only time I don’t wear them is when they’re charging. Prior to these I had the Powerbeats Pro’s which I LOVED. The only downsides to them was the size of the case and them not have ANC which is something I really wanted, which is why I switched!!
Did you end up getting the airpods pro 2? I enjoyed my airpods pro 2 until I either lost them or they qere stolen. So I'm debating between getting a new pair or going with the Sony link bud s.
The Airpods Pro 2 are no brainers for anyone in the Apple ecosystem. But for someone who is ecosystem agnostic and wants quality without spending too much ($150 to $180 less), buy Soundcore Liberty Air 3 Pro or Earfun Air S, they are also good or even better in sound, but above all have better microphones for phone calls in noisy environments Or if you're on Android and Windows specifically, buy the Sony Linkbuds S, they're as good as the Airpods Pro 2 on every level and you'll have automatic switching between Android and Windows devices, much like with Airpods on iOS.
You are missing a couple key factors LDAC and LE audio compatibility (Beta at the moment). I don't know of any ear pieces at the moment giving that much compatibility, quality and future proofing.. for the money.
Yeah, so maybe this comparison is eligible for US customers, in Europe, the price of Air pro 2 is the same for the Sony XM5 earbuds, which I must say, blow airpods out of the water. But I would rather compare the Linkbuds S with the Jabra Elite 4/5, seems a better comparison.
