My theory about plastic defeating magic is often in folklore magic is repelled/dampened by banality. Faeries especially are powerless around or vulnerable to banality. And nothing says “boring mortal world” better than plastic.

I appreciated you guys talking about the hiding disabilities. I have Cerebral Palsy (but it’s so mild, that you don’t notice it unless you know what to look for or I tell a person) and I also felt the need to hide it. I was bullied for years especially in gym class because it was most noticeable when I ran and I felt so insecure. I myself didn’t know about my CP diagnosis until I was 12. I’m 25 now and I’m finally comfortable with my body and my limits. My husband (we just got married on May 18th) is very protective and mindful of my limits.

I grew up watching Wizards of Waverly Place when I was a kid I saw David Deluise but he guest starred on a Sci Fi Show with his brothers which I think is awesome Sea Quest! For Beneath The Surface Lies the Future.

My favourite episode. Yes. I can see why plastic is a natural enemy of magic due to the high quality human made material known as Polymers which defies the laws of thermodynamic. It's molecules combine to create a hard coating that is stronger than concrete and metal combined. It is an air tight vacuum that traps all light, making it a stable force because of n homogeneous. The substance is surrounded by a light shield nano. It is protected by any type of attack, suppressing all types of attack. Considering it was a random thing in the show, it sure makes up for it, by being realistic. It is clever. Sorry for a random thing like this. Mmmmm Disney
kinda morbid but i was always curious about “mortals” vs wizards bc that basically meant that wizards don’t die, right? so i’m assuming whoever became the full wizard lived on & non-wizard siblings would eventually perish 🥲 can you guys touch on what you think about that concept in a future episode? 😁🫶🏼
