HSV igg positive means there was a herpes infection in the past. HSV IgM positive means current active herpes infection. If there is herpes igg positive IgM negative in the report that means you do not have any active herpes simplex virus. If herpes is positive then you may need to take antiviral and symptomatic treatment. Herpes simplex virus 1+2 IgM indicates current active recent oral or genital herpes. Hsv 2 igg IgM positive means in Hindi that a person has recurrent genital herpes. HSV igg IgM test should not be done without any active herpes symptoms. HSV IgM test may or may not be positive for active recurrent herpes simplex virus infection. Herpes igg vs IgM denotes IgG remains lifelong and IgM visible in blood tests only during the current recent active herpes phase or after some time of this attack. Herpes IgM test is not herpes type 1 and 2 specific so recently CDC advised to discontinue routine this test. If HSV 1 igg positive then you do not require any treatment or do not require a repeat of this test. Hsv 2 igg IgM positive means recurrent active genital herpes.

It should be conclusive. But it is advices to get tested after 6 months from day of exposure.
