Well, we learned the USSS counter-snipers weren't using radios. They were communicating with their phones. This is also the first time USSS counter-snipers had been covering the former president for at least a while. Local and state counter-snipers had been doing it before. This was a failure of epic proportion! I could've had one of my most junior Marines set up and supervise the security for that event, and there would've been no attempt.
