Team Jumbo is absolutely stacked with talent this year. In fact, they have the potential to win ALL of the spring classics this year. Hopefully it's going to make for some very exciting racing.
The real heavy hitters aren't here yet: Pog, J A, Remco, MVDP, and many others.... let's wait until Strade Bianchi to see if this statement holds true. Best time of the year to watch cycling for sure.
Yes! Yes! Fuck, yes! The cobbled classic season begins. My absolute favorite part of the road season. This race was my introduction into the cobbled races when I read about Eddy Planckaert winning it back in the 80's (no RUclips back then). Go, van Baarle! I can't wait until Paris-Roubaix and Tour of Flanders.
When Van Baarle left INEOS I felt they lost their one consistent performer and a guaranteed winner. Jumbo only added one more in their studded lineup. Always felt he was underrated
When a rider wins a monument, the orher riders be stupid to underestimate him. He looks ripped and ready. Adding another classic to his palmares is a confedence boost. So stay on the watch for this guy
Ineos focus is always on GT, so they didn't support him enough for ODR. They just mainly used him to dom for team leaders in GTs. Glad he's getting a chance here.
Van Baarle profited from all other riders looking at Van Aert in last year's Paris-Roubaix. He has definitely demonstrated he can ride consistent results, but to win a monument there's usually at least a bit of 'luck' involved.
Belle victoire au sprint de Dylan Van Barle & magnifique 39 è place pour le Français Chistophe Laporte. Avec 2 coureurs sur le podium, Jumbo-Visma toujours semblable à elle-même! 💙💟💖🍀🎭☯☮🏳🌈🏴☠!
@@stusuchit2034 I agree, but even a bull like him is not immune to injuries. Dont get me wrong, I really like De Lie, he is going to do amazing things. But, did you see him riding up the muur van Geraardsbergen in his big ring?? Also in Kuurne on the Cote de Trieu... It looks like he's doing 50rpm training, except hes also pushing a 1000 watts. His knees and lower back wont survive like that and thats just a fact
Good race but unfortunate that the GCN+ stream switched away from the podium to the women’s race. Two streams were showing the women’s race! Would have liked to have seen the men’s podium celebration.
@@GeorgeSofroniouCy Van Hooijdonk has a single top 10 in the WT classics his whole career. Dennis has never even finished a single spring classic, let alone be particularly good at it. Both good riders, but they're not the ones striking fear into other people's hearts.
I don't think a team blocking the road to give their rider a major time gap and advantage can be accredited as a superior ride. To be fair, he should have been challenged and win based on a better performance. All these riders complaining that Ineos is old school etc. but they have one of the best development programmes and these riders just going to other teams after their development. Jumbo Visma is a good team, but cheeky tactics in my book makes you lose points.
Cycling is a team sport. Sometimes teams dominate - Gewiss, Mapei, Telekom, Postal, CSC, Sky and now Jumbo and UAE. How do they do it? What do they all have in commen?
It's not that they were actually blocking the road, anyone could just jump to the front and start chasing. Jumbo wasn't holding them or anything like that

all spring classics is a bit much, especially with mvdp and pogacar participating
If they lure Moreno Argentin out of retirement they might have a chance.
@@daanboersma1580 Remco and Alaphillipe are very high level guys aswell which will be part of other 1 day classic races.

Also, a bunch of spring races/classics are sprint races and Jumbo don't have a pure sprinter that is strong enough.
Proper racing at last in Belgium. The UAE Tour is a bore.
Those races felt like a unwilling obligation, like a diversity hire.

I was there today, what an incredible race
Great win for Dylan! To do it solo as well. Chapeau.

Jumbo visma is the team to beat. They have so many weapons.
De Lie's insanely heavy gears are going to ruin his knees by age 30
By the time he is 30, The Walloon Bull will have at least 70 wins to his Palmarès.

More proof that even exciting road racing is duller than the dullest cyclocross race.
