That's what caused the red car to burst into flame like it did. Both vehicle's fuel tanks would've ruptured in this impact, but only the red one ignited, because of how the exhaust ended up.

The reason the red Pessima was deformed a little bit more was because the red Pessima was hit at 61mph compared to the blue cars 59mph and aswell the truck put more energy into the red car because it hit the suspension test.
new cars are supposed to damage more to absorb the impact more... damage is not a good comparison, what you should be able to compare is g-forces on impact
