    Thanks for uploading these Mr Snoozer..Terry was such an intelligent and gifted presenter, his wit and eloquence always charming .. he is indeed missed so very much. His voice was like verbal velvet, the lilt of his accent so engaging, so warm. Enriched by his gentle personality, unrivalled in broadcasting today. A gentle man indeed. A life well lived, all promise fulfilled. There is an emptiness when we lose lovely people, we miss you Terry, the world is a little more empty without you, indeed it is.

I now wish he was still there to ignore as he seemed extremely genuine compared to some of the Drones and Clones they have on uk radio 🙄regards from wessexshire

    • @clayfada6993
      @clayfada6993 6 лет назад +5

      They are a number of differences in no particular order
      1 ireland is a much more rural than england
      2 GAA
      3 Ireland is pro european britain is eurosceptic
      4 Music apart from traditional music country music is also big here ,but not in england
      5 The planning laws especially in rural areas are completely different.Ireland is the only country in europe where you will see houses dotted around the countryside.In britain that just isnt allowed either
      6 Our soccer fans are renowned for their good behaviour,the brits though most have them are well behaved they have a minority that wreck the place
      7 We generally are less arrogant as a nation
      8 We have more a sense of community
      9 although we are secular nowadays they are still catholic practises that are strong first communions confirmations and pilgrimages that would not be the same in britain which is secular longer and has a prothestant heritage.
      Yes we are very similar but they are some marked differences .Some areas especially dublin there is virtually no difference between it and liverpool or any other city in britain .They have a british style class system soccer is the biggest sport not GAA even if GAA is strong their aswell and they support english clubs.Rugby is played in the private schools like it is in england by the priveledged classes mostly in south dublin,.There is generally no social mobility in dublin,but in the rest of the country there is due to the availability of free education to the sons of small farmers.This has resulted in hurling which was once considered a peasant sport taking a strong foothold in affluent south dublin with cuala winning the all ireland.
