I have a stage 2 Whipple on my 2016 running the Whipple tune and stock pulley. Car pulls like a freight train when I have traction. Nice to see you verified their tune is correct. Great video, keep em coming!
I have a 2015, and I just bought a 2.9 Whipple stage 2. Haven't had time to install it yet, but I'm really looking forward to it. I bought opg, and I'll do that at the same time. Thanks for sharing your build!
The whole Oil Pump Gear debate is exhausting to research, but the smart money says go ahead and change them. Because, if they fail it's goodbye engine. Also, my car was performance pack from the factory with 3.73 gear ratio in the rear differential. Those gears are way to short for all that horse power. I had them changed to 3.31.
I'm surprised no calibration was done. I just had a whipple put on my truck and asked about smaller pulley sizes. My kit comes with a 4.5 pulley. The shop said not without a custom tune, which is about 1k pesos! no bueno 🤑
On this application the calibration from Whipple is based off 91 octane. So if you have higher octane, which we do (93), you can drop a pulley. The logs looked fine. Some of the calibrations have a built in safety to limit boost so dropping a pulley would do nothing. Maybe your truck is like that.
@@BrenspeedEngineering Months later...so I'm still on the same pulley. I've done some upgrades though. LT5 throttle body CAI 535LPH in tank pump LT4 injectors 5" driveshaft/.125 wall thickness I needed a custom tune due to the fueling upgrades and saw a nice bump in power. Currently at 460/509. I feel like I'm chasing my tail though. I was first told by whipple and this shop to upgrade fueling before the pulley swap. Done. Then the shop says upgrade driveshaft before the pulley swap. Done. Now they're saying "what do you expect it's a truck". And it doesn't look like they're eager to swap the pulley after all...so, looking for options. I feel like I can't win for losing. 😖 Not looking for anything crazy. From 4.5" to like 4.375 or even 4.25 if I can. Seriously pisses me off though. Why'd they even have me do all these upgrades and then say "nah" after they were paid. After the upgrades I was like $4k into it after the whipple for like 40hp/50tq. The pulley swap easy. It's the tuning part that I know next nothing about.
I love the Whipple. I believe you should run headers/full exhaust next. On your next project I truly believe you should use a twin turbo setup. They are just so popular these days.
Longtubes and exhaust will add around 40hp, but boost will lower a little and it will need a retune. That is probably why the debate is out there, boost drops and retune is hard to judge what only the exhaust does. But 40hp is a safe bet.
Honestly if you have an auto you are in the 10 second zone if you hook. The manual of course is a bit harder to get in the 10's but with good tires and driving you can do it. THANKS for watching!
Now will a cam help much with the supercharger? I'm looking to have you guys do some work on my 2015. Just curious, cause I would like to have the lope sound
I Live in Bay Area, I HAVE YET TO RUN INTO a mechanic who is so passionate about MUSTANGS!!! (Except owner of Big O Tires, he has a Shelby Gt350).. I am thinking when I do my WHIPPLE install, I am definitely taking a driver over to you guys!
I know what you are saying. Most dont. My 15 had it from the factory and only some did. My 16 only shows vacuum. I am not sure why some get that feature and some do not. I researched that a long time ago and found that some people had it and some did not. Very odd.
Hy i have a 2010 mustang convertible stock how much would it cost to have à gen 3 convertion ,motor tryanny diff hedder radiator M'y name is Denis cyr i am from Montréal Canada, thank you brent
Sort of a loaded question but here is a link to our coyote swap parts. You can see current pricing on a full Gen 3 engine/trans/wiring, exhaust, etc... you can do some math looking at the parts. Not hard to end up with 35k+ in a conversion the engine/trans alone is currently $20k then you have fuel system, cooling, exhaust, and everything else involved to make it all work properly. THANKS www.brenspeed.com/coyote-swap.html
Hi, do you know if this supercharger have anything that limit boost? I ask this because I change my pulley for a 3.375'' but still makes the same amount of boost.
Its not the supercharger it is built into the whipple calibration. The calibration can limit boost in case somebody puts a super small pulley on. There is a load limit that can be adjusted to let the boost flow.

808muscle1 thanks we have custom tune options in house and available for mail order shortly. Big power in the future. Glad you like your ride.
I love your videos. A lot of honesty and fun I really appreciate your enthusiasm.

Sounds like you have a great set up. THANKS for watching.
Is there anything else I should do to my mustang before installing a supercharger?

Great build! Do kooks headers, midpipe and cat-back plus cut outs just for fun!
Victor Xavier I think it needs cut outs for sure!
I'm a pretty new sub I must say I can't believe you don't have waaaaay more subs
Neil Amalfitano thanks for your support please share with your friends who love cool cars.
Kooks long tube headers, off road x, and Corsa Extreme or Borla Ataks.
Yes needs long tubes for sure. THANKS!
Try the corsia headers
Love the Whipple whine!
TacticalSocks does sound sweet!

I want to get a kenny bell for my 2015 but I cant really afford it. I just got the ford racing stage 2 kit.

Jason Byassee yes headers on this car coming in the future thanks!
Could you drop a link too the plug and play for the boost a pump?
www.brenspeed.com/kb1517.html
This is the link for 15-17
Since you are building it for me,us can i stop by and drive it down the track a few times to see how good of a job you did.
Tim Martin see you tomorrow lol
I would like to see what Headers and 3" exhaust gain next. I can't find before and after data and there is a lot of debate on the gains.

awesome. Im ordering this kit car for my 17GT. I think they have the best kit out there for the S550. wondering what quarter mile time it will do?

Great Video love that Whipple!
Joe Lubner thanks already working on turning it up.
Brent , I didn't see a 2nd anti-freeze tank ? I would love to have 700rwhp on my 2015 automatic gt . Great video!!!!
Most of the newer superchargers have a fill in line now rather than a tank.

@@Gonzalezbeastin Not yet my friend... But soon 🤞‼️
Nice , I'm waiting to see what fuel system you go with . Def go triple pump and I'd love to see 800whp
BMERE 828 me too! Thanks
Yes but then the pistons and rods will need upgraded.
Hello.
I have the same kit as you. but how did you get the pressure gauge to show overpressure, mine only shows vacum
