Good pointers. It is hard to seeing people struggling to get a job in this industry. Too many employers expect way more from a candidate than in my opinion, they should. I’ve seen many job posts where they expect you to know multiple languages, frameworks, and libraries. On top of this, they also expect you to know infrastructure and services offered by Azure or AWS. I don’t care if you’re a seasoned software engineer, this is just overwhelming.

This Video was Superb I was just thinking to choose JavaScript for learn coding but this video change my mind now i am excited to learn Java , Because you are my inspiration and you explain the Javascript path was so longer then the Java and You explain everything in the easiest way ThankYou Sir for making this Video ❤️

i started learning python after watching your last video and now i came across this one in which you're recommending java and mentioned that python is slow and not really used in big companies like Amazon and Google. now im confused if i should start learning java and put a hold on python for now or not
Python is an equally good choice. If you're already learning Python, continue with it. Good luck!
Python and Java both are used widely but for different purposes, suppose if you want to learn AI you should continue Python because its populer in this specific sector, but if you want to learn anything related to android, Java or Kotlin should be your choise, all depends on you, just pick one to start. If needed you will learn another language structures.

I would request you publish a learning path for Java too !.
For example for someone looking for long term career not essential front end development
Investment in Java
How different are things like cloud based application development
Latest framework like spring boot
How does nodejs compare to Java
Lot of API are also support in JavaScript
do you think he's even going to read this one , let one make the video on the topic?
man can java and cloud go together
Good pointers. It is hard to seeing people struggling to get a job in this industry. Too many employers expect way more from a candidate than in my opinion, they should. I’ve seen many job posts where they expect you to know multiple languages, frameworks, and libraries. On top of this, they also expect you to know infrastructure and services offered by Azure or AWS. I don’t care if you’re a seasoned software engineer, this is just overwhelming.
Helped Alot, I learned java basics in school now have to drop it because this year there is a exam called IOI in which I have to code in Cpp, please share some cources and roadmap for c++
Will try to cover it in coming videos.
There is another great advantage of learning java. The number of jobs for junior developers! I checked some job search engines in my country, the Czech Republic, and Java is the winner!!
Bro I love you, I think you were just so much important to me in this world man, I was also binge watching RUclips videos and wasting my time(trust me I was watching it for almost 8-9 months), until I got your video. Most importantly you are giving the free resources which I needed and I will learn java now. Man you don't know but I am feeling as someone took my stress and frustration and gave me something which I wanted as a kid.
I have watched 4-5 videos of yours and It was very informative, not at all trash content that is generally present on youtube, I subscribed your channel. May you reach a million subscribers mark.

May I ask even you learned some code. It is important to consider that would you be hired by some company to get a stable career path or income? Or the scope of the coding is extremely wide and difficult so it takes unbearable efforts to learn in a continuous way?
I have watch these sort of videos and started a series where i will follow whatever you people say and update the progress. I am the guy who started programming
Hi Sahil,
A quick question: “How long will it take for you to reach your current level of expertise if you start from zero and follow this path?”
do it and know for yourself :)

I have 5 years of diverse experience. As DevOps, software engineer and site reliability engineer... But software engineer is something that interests me a lot. However I know JavaScript and python... I was confused initially that functional programming is the new trend and I dint learn java in my initial stage... But I struggled a lot when I was promoted from DevOps engineer to software engineer II in my previous organization. I had problems adapting with the codebase and the company fired me due to my incapability to adapt from DevOps to software engineer.... I wish I could have learnt java... I would have dealt the codebase at ease.... So no excuses learning java after 5+ diverse experience. Just adhering to Sahil's words and I have no doubt I will maser Java or pickup java easily
Hello bro good to hear about your experience. I am also starting Java. Can you tell me how hard it is to get a job in this field. Should I learn programming or try my luck in other fields. As I have seen many people in comment section still struggling for a job. A personal advice from you would be very helpful...
Hi, what would you suggest to a person who has already learned Javascript and is making projects?
Do I still need to learn Java for DSA?
Don't think so.
1)
learn java -- use code acdemy
- not copy paste code wright it by your own
- dont see hint use java documentation
2)make project
-basic
-advaced
- if you dont understand something use java documentation
3)make your own project
like - make a program that helps you remerber hard concept
- next move it prograam to a server
- move question to datebase
- make your own app
4)learn DSA
use leetcode
I know I am pretty late, but i was wondering what your opinion on C# is? I picked it as my first language (besides HTMl & CSS if they count) and really liked it because it directly is from Microsoft. I also heard that it is really familiar to Java so I would love to hear your opinion :D.
C# is equally good compared to Java, just apply the techniques he made mention of in your learning of C# and you're good to go.
Love you man 🙂
Thanks 🙏
Well done Powercouple,
Great stuff you shared.
Following the steps you discussed, what concepts do I need to master before I can build The Guided Projects (Tic tac toe, Sudoku, Snake etc) and subsequently build My Own project? Can Java concepts from 'Learn java from scratch' on Educative be enough to satrt the Guided Projects?
Thanks.
Hello great being! Thank you once again for all your guides, could you please make one video about your keyboard? The language of keyboard you use and if you apply any change to any key function.
Thank you Bro for this information! :)

Thank you for the video, extremely helpful. One question , can you tell me if 28 is good age to start coding , and have a successful career ? If not , can we switch to other fields in IT, if we are not good enough 😕. Like cloud or managerial roles . Is that a possibility?
How do older people 40+ age still survive as software engineer ?
Age is not a factor, the skill is the only factor.
What you need to ask yourself is - Why do you want to learn coding?
Once you answer that question, the rest becomes easy.

Try to see if coding can complement your existing experience. If you are an absolute beginner, be prepared to spend dedicated months to an year to actually get started off and reach a situation where you can build projects.
I am also from non-CS like op. I have been working with C++ and QT for 2-3 years now, and have been spending the last 5-6 months studying DSA for the first time as a proper course. I believe that doing some CS courses would definitely make you a more well-rounded programmer.

first of all thank you for this kind of good information. So you r saying to focus on java if i am starting to code but i already started learning python and i have a good grasp on C and it's DSA from my college days..should i keep going with python or it would be preferable to change to java asap, like i have complete all my my basics and right now learning DSA from udacity which u have prefered on your early videos.
Hey! You shouldn't change anything. Python is a great choice.
I stop learning python for 2months already because of my conflict time but after is pass my bord exam for teachers i think i have time to learn programming again but thiers a doubt what if i get born out again but when i see this video and watch after i finish watching this video i realize to continue learning python i know i can and i can change my career from being a teacher to programmer, thank you sr continue making video that will inspired us and make more excited about programming im one of your long time sub one of your supporter 😘😘😘

By watching your video, I had also decided to learn coding starting with Java. However, my friend suggests me to do the course in cloud computing as it is having better salary and scope. Now, I'm confused. It'd be really helpful if you can tell me your opinion. Thank you.
Get a Job in Java/Spring Boot first, only then you think about other advance shit like cloud computing or machine learning.
You are going to fail from the get go if you start thinking about advance stuff right now, definitely gonna quit after feeling dumb af.
Don't want to be a downer here but just getting the "easy level" Java/Spring Boot is already hard af and most self learners don't even make it past this foundation. So there you go.

Hey! Flutter is great. It's growing in popularity and it's still not mainstream. It might take some time to see whether it replaces native development.
