Oh My!! Any mother would love this for Mother's Day. (As long as she's not allergic to eggs or strawberries)
Strawberry Pavlova
Pavlova:
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbls Corn starch
6 egg whites
1/2 Tbls lemon juice
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 225°
Mix sugar and cornstarch and set aside.
Beat egg whites, lemon, vanilla and salt until starting to thicken. Then gradually beat in the sugar mixture and beat to stiff peaks.
Spread on parchment lined cookie sheet into a large circle flattening slightly in the center to create a rim. Place in oven for 2 hours. After 2 hours turn oven off but leave Pavlova in the oven for another 2 hours.
STRAWBERRIES:
3 cups of quartered strawberries
2 Tbls sugar
Mix and set aside
CREAM MIXTURE:
2 Cups heavy cream
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup of vanilla yogurt
Beat on high to stiff peaks.
Assemble per video instructions

I got a bonus daughter when I married my husband. She has been the biggest blessing in my life for 48 years. She is the best big sister to my other daughters and a wonderful mama to my 2 granddaughters. I may not have given birth to her, but she is always in my heart. My husband passed away 10 years ago, and we got even closer. I raised her when her mother decided she wanted the single life and kids were not part of the plan. So just because you didn’t physically birth a child, you can still be their mom and reap all of the love from that child.
Oh yes, Bryant feels the same about Caroline, she is like his even though she's not biologically his
“ everything I needed & some of what I wanted”. Well that’s love, that’s beautiful.💕
Thank you for such a sweet video with Caroline. I did not have a good mother, my siblings and I were placed in foster homes at the age of seven. So I never got to experience a loving mother/ daughter relationship. But the good Lord blessed me with a wonderful son. After being told I would never be able have a baby. Which makes him even more special to me. We are very close and have a great relationship. I thank the Lord every day for him

Watching you & Caroline sharing memories reminded me of myself & my momma. She went to heaven 29 yrs ago & I was 9 months pregnant when she passed. I still miss her so much & my strong faith & the love that I have for our Father God is because of her. Wishing both of you beautiful ladies a wonderful & blessed Mother's Day!

You two bless my heart! I love this channel so much! My mama had a stroke also and it left her whole left side paralyzed. She, like your mama, was a spit fire. She was a beans and cornbread type of mama and was so easy to talk to about anything. Before her stroke she wrote proposals for schools and never had one that didn't get funded. She dressed to the nines to attend meetings in Washington DC or some other state she had business in. She loved working and was so good at it. I never saw her get tired until she had her stroke. She moved to Heaven the day after her 75th birthday in 2013. She died peacefully in her sleep. She was an angel. God bless y'all.
Oh Leslie! Your Star of David platter is lovely! I felt like it was a special Mother’s Day gift to me. My mother received this pattern punch bowel as a gift at her bridal shower in 1958. She handed it down to me and I collect this pattern in remembrance of her. It’s not an expensive collectible and is easily found that thrift shops but I love it! Makes me want to tear when I see u have a sweet piece of this collection. Hope you had a special Mother’s Day! You helped make mine special.

What a special video; I loved hearing about your momma (and your daddy) what a wonderful heritage and such a sweet goodbye. I also loved hearing your daughter's funny memories, too - I've always thought to myself that I hope my girls remember the funny times long after I'm gone. And that dessert was beautiful, I haven't even heard of it, but I had your video pulled up to start after I got a cup of coffee and my daughter saw it and said oh I want to watch this. She knew all about pavlova and said it was Australian or from New Zealand, and as soon as we started the video she said, "She looks like you," LOL Then you said the same thing, that's so funny because people do tell me that we look alike, too. Great video, thanks so much for being a part of this collab, I love when I get to take part with Darlene in these, she is such a special lady!

I have made pavlova in many flavor variations for years. I make individual ones using a piping bag by making a “nest” of the pavlova meringue then after its baked, I fill with a cream cheese mixture. Yummy!

As an Australian who has made countless Pavlova's in my life, you did a great job for your first ever attempt. Aussie's often eat it with mixed fruits on top like banana, kiwi fruit and passionfruit or the other way is to put peppermint chocolate on the top. Our family does it with the chocolate on top and its so good!
