    Maestro, mi nombre es Nelson, es muy hermoso el estilo Mantis del kung fu que usted presenta.
    ¿ podría por favor decirnos como se llama cada forma ? O ¿ son una misma ? Me parese que no.
    Gracias por su respuesta.

      El primer Taou Lu es Beng Bu, fundamental en muchos estilos Tang Lang y se dice que fue creado por Wang Lang, el fundador del estilo Mantis. El segundo Tao Lu es Xiao Dao, el tercero es Lanjie, el cuarto es Talu. Luego el vídeo continúa mostrando a Lanjie, la tercera, en detalle.

    • @markdonovan1540
      @markdonovan1540 2 года назад

      @Aiden Fisher obviously you are entitled to your opinion. I used to train with 7 -star Mantis practitioners in different style Kung Fu school in the 80s and 90s in London (the school of Lau Gar sifu Stan Brown), but I'm no expert on the Mantis style. However, I have many years of experience in the martial arts, from 1972 to this day, so I can appreciate a demonstration executed well and there are things that I see that may be different to what another person may see, which is fine.
      When people talk about lineage in the martial arts, it can be to state something about the particular branch of development and instruction of a school and/or style. This is a good historical reference, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it's better or worse than another, just different. The world of martial arts can become cluttered with claim and counter-claim, which serves little real purpose in my opinion. What is important is what is in the heart of the practitioner, regardless of their particular style, school, teacher etc. Sometimes it's possible to recognise that in others, whereas other times it is not.

    Some months ago my sifu asked me that I performed a mantis form that he had taught us even though it was a hung gar school (due to the simplicity and usefulness of that form ). But as it wasn't of our style, I hadn't payed much attention to it and performed as it was a hung gar form (strong and considerably paused). So my sifu later said that the mantis is way more fluid and fast, something that I had to train more. I didn't get it till seeing you performing, everything seems clear of what he'd said! I thank you!

    Is there any video showing how this system works in a real fight? Does it?

    • @Cynry
      @Cynry 4 года назад +1

      What is shown here is the ability to produce power according to his style's principles. And his ability is quite mighty when you know what to look for, but it doesn't tell much about his fighting skills. He can produce power, but using that power in a real fight is another skillset, which comes mostly from sparring. So, as always, the question is not about the style, but the individual fighter.

      Excellent response. Ta Ji Mei Hua Tang Lang is another incredible form of wushu. This Master demonstrates this special form in his unique way. The breathing, the movements, the energy, all goes towards keeping us fit and healthy through exercises. In peaceful times, it's like physiotherapy. In the 5000 years of Chinese history, sadly, much was about protection against invaders, bullies, thus a wide variety of self-defence styles were developed by genial practitioners. I applaud this Master in this video for his devotion to Tai Ji Mei Hua Tan Lang chuen. Thank you for uploading. My late GodFather showed me the butterfly form, and it's beautiful.

      @@АлександрАнтонович-м6д Greetings, certainly ,I see your point of view. However, what I can discern is a sharing of style and knowledge.
      Without learned individuals like You and Master Dante, this form of exercise may fade into oblivion. Like a mother's favourite recipe, if we don't share and pass down to the next generation, the art of dedication and passion can be overtaken by 21st century technology and engineering, used in movies for our entertainment.
      Real mastery comes from selfless sharing and continuance in education.
      I'm glad for your comment, I'm open to constructive input. So thank you, I'd very much like to learn sharp visionary skills from you. God bless.

      @@TheDrago111 I agree that having a straight leg would invite the enemy to strike it, but this is never used at a distance. This is all close range. A couple times in this form, you will see a footsweep that is performed exactly like Judo's de ashi barai. It is impossible to have bent leg when you put your foot behind your opponent when you standing up against them in an upright grapple. I don't know what experience you have with BJJ or Judo, but you often do footsweeps with straight legs. Sometimes your leg comes down.

    mi pare di capire che il maestro basili, faccia un pò di QI XING T.LQ., un pò di TAI JI T.L.Q. , un pò di MEI HUA T.L.Q. e un pò di LIU HE T.L.Q..
    Quindi un pò di tutto!. in quale di questi stili si è specializzato
    e completato gli studi?.
    comunque lo vedo tecnicamente bravo e capace.
    auguri per tutto
