Hi! Can you make a video regarding weather/temperature when applying? Im in south florida, my transfer literally starts shrinking within two minutes of heat/sun exposure. On this last installation i used a tent for shade and i still ended up stopping since one side got really messed up and i believe it might've been the heat. I now have to remove and re do :(
Hello! Thanks a lot for supporting our content. We have used the knife-less tape a few times. We have seen people use it mainly for stripes or certain areas or shapes that are very difficult to cut with plotter. We weren’t sure what angle the stripe was going to end up at and we didn’t want the vinyl to be shorter than it should, that’s why we decided to use the tape. Hope it makes sense lol.
Great video guys. I have a question. Did you guys always use this pricing formula? Or did you charge less before? Im less established than you guys but starting to get more install jobs... I do my jobs for much less than you guys and am nervous about stepping up my prices. Do you guys have any advice for me?
in the very beginning we were charging way less and we had no clue how much we should charge we were price guessing but later on we had different formulas but still charging not enough now we charge, square footage, difficulty and labor
Hello! We try to let our customers know - before we apply our decals - that we will end up with a few bubbles. I guess our customers aren’t that picky. Nonetheless we try to avoid them as much as possible. Also we try to get rid of them with the weeder.
In that calculation, did you mention what you charged the customer per sqft? The total labor plus material cost was about $540 and you mentioned a $2 markup on the sqft because of 2 colors.. so is the standard 1 color price $9.5/sqft?
The old calculator had a special formula to multiply the price you paid for your vinyl per square foot by 5 times but we made an upgrade now we have a less complicated formula and new calculator however you can still use the old version since some feel more comfortable charging as beginners in business
@@RDIdecals That would be awesome. I joined your membership to have access to the calculator, and will continue the membership in hopes that you can do that. I truly appreciate what you guys do. It's amazing that after being in this business so long I can still learn new things!
Thought I would comment here under this account also. I am the same person as DWIT3D who has been commenting LOL. This (KKP) is my full time business. Sorry for any confusion 😄
Thanks for this video, great to know a tested pricing strategy! Although it will probably deviate over here in The Netherlands, both for material and labor costs. Local research is always necessary. I wonder, if people want to do the installation themselves: do you ship the decals (using mailing tubes?) or let them pick them up? BTW: I figured out the formula ;-)

Just a question, but why don't you magnet the middle and put tape at the ends for registration marks then lay it half and half
I’m intrigued by the knife-less tape 😊. Please tell us more. Always great information. I will be upgrading from silver to gold.

Do you get approval from the customer to allow air bubbles?

Great Video guys. Keep up the good work 👍👍
Excellent video guys but I don’t really understand how much it’s a square foot equal in inches how much is it???? Thank you 😊
That’s 144 sq in
1 foot = 12 inches
Now 12 to the 2nd power : 12*12= 144 sq in 😉
@@vanillacarnivore okay 👍🏻 thank you
Love the calculator, but would like to be able to customize the formulas to apply for my Canadian market!
Great video guys. Always informative 😊
Hello thank you for your feedback and we might be able to set another calculator for people to set their own formula 🤔
