PLOT:
Picking up right from where we left off, everyone emerges from the dragon battle seemingly unharmed. Arya comes around and an overjoyed Mary-Lu kisses her in front of the group. Looks like the cat's out of the closet.
Once the tributes are out of Dragon Country, they find the Unicorn limping toward them. They debate helping it, but most of them settle on yes once it defends them from oncoming shadow monsters. Only Arya doubts the Unicorn's altruism, and convinces Mary-Lu to join her at a private campfire instead. Alone, Mary-Lu admits she's older than she actually is by a few years (stated sixteen, is really eighteen). Arya asks about going the next step, but Mary-Lu doesn't feel comfortable going that far just yet. Arya tells her it's fine (yay for respect and consent!) She also says she's going to get them both out of the Forest. For the first time, Mary-Lu has hope that they actually will. She even makes plans for them to run away from Thornwaithe together.
The next day, the Unicorn leads everyone on a long trek. They reach their destination, a pretty lake, by nightfall. But Arya's suspicions prove correct: a tidal wave made up of unicorns bursts from the lake, swallowing up Nastasya and chasing away the others.
Meanwhile, the villagers already believe that the young Lady Villeforte is long dead; the fact that no one is able to say her name anymore is taken as proof that she's another victim of the Forest - but someone thinks otherwise. A cloaked figure approaches the Forest with a small offering - it's Maria, and she wants to make an exchange.
Oohhh, that ending! Maria has returned. I actually wondered before if someone seemingly the most knowledgeable about the forest, would have never tried to get Mary-Lu back. She's so dedicated, even if she was treated poorly. I hope those two can reunite somehow and have some closure on their situation and Mary-Lu's actions.
I love how stylistically unique your rounds are - you can always tell your work right at a glance - and it makes them super interesting! It's great seeing Mary-Lu soften up and finally be able to be her true self in this round!

Gotta say, I’m curious about what the exchange entails. As stated before, I love Arya’s expression when Mary-Lu tells her her real age. I’d say more about their promise to leave and live together… but I think we both know the result of that. Still, nice video though
