Islamabad to Gilgit Road Trip | Views of Naran Kagan

Traveling between Gilgit and Islamabad is alwasy a challenging one. sometimes it hinders your journey due to heavy rain and landsliding and sometimes due to cancellation of flights due to bad weather. Yes, it can be good if you have your own car or jeep or hired a decent driver, otherwise the normal rent-a-car service is not reliable due to the stubornness of drivers. These drivers don't care about traffic rules and they sometimes overspeeding which can be disasterous. We traveled this year with Rashid (Driver) who is known to us and we can handle him as we know him. He is a very smart and good driver and you will never feel bored while talking to him. but sometimes if you don't warn him, he starts overspeeding and most of the time my argument with him is over the AC. most of the drivers on this road tend to turn off their car ACs and open side screens due to which lot of dust, smoke and heat penetrate to your cabin therefore we make sure the the car has a working AC. our journed starts at 11:00 AM from Islamabad F-7 and Completed at 11:15 PM at Gilgit Jutyal.
Gilgit-Baltistan was previously known as Northern Areas of Pakistan and in short form FANA, meaning Federally Administered Northern Areas. it is a disputed region between India and Pakistan according to UN resolutions and China also claims some parts of it.
During this travel you will see the very beautiful green mountains of Naran and Kagan
