If you know anything about Disney branding, you'll know they wouldn't damage the way kids see their characters like that. Only parody laws are protecting him, and he has to be very careful to stick within them. Disney is brutal about it. And yes, that video very clearly does say Playlist Live.

Yes I do know that it wasn't intentional at first but after realizing many similarities the intention from there. The directors of the original movie even admitted that they had those undeniable similarities. The story itself wasn't based off of it but their characters definitely grew into similar ones. I guess I should correct myself in saying that they weren't inspired by the play but rather the inspiration grew into a similar story and then the intention on creating the story similar was on purpose at that point.

I've watched a lot (A LOT!) of reactions to these over the years, and you're one of the tiny minority who caught nearly all the jokes right out of the box. She never had a love affair with John Smith. In fact he is likely a myth borne of propaganda. And C. Mulan was discovered to be a woman early in her military career and publicly executed by beheading for impersonating an imperial soldier. Every Disney story has a very disturbing dark side that they clean up and make pretty for the kids.
