I can’t wait to go back and visit. I went to Valencia the first time in 1975 as a high school student. Franco was still alive, there was not an actual hotel in the entire city and half the roads were dirt. I loved it! Stayed close friends with my host family and have been back many times. Can’t wait to go after the pandemic. Thanks so much for showing the city. I’m really looking forward to getting back and hanging out with my friends.

This is the 2nd of ur videos I’ve seen. And the better one. I will be working at a public school this next school year, an hour north. Been twice to Valencia. Been to Madrid 3 times and 4 times to Barcelona. My new favorite place is Valencia. Spent time exploring all the neighborhoods and wouldn’t want El Carmen or Carbyoñal (sp?). After my job is over, I’d consider relocating to Valencia. But will do a bit of traveling in my spare time as so many places still to see. Salamanca with Its University sound lively. I don’t want to live in touristy location, but want to be close by. Thinking of neighborhoods outside of Turia park circle.

Fireworks in Valencia? I am from Valencia and I assure you that Valencians have gunpowder running through their veins. We celebrate almost everything with very large firecrackers, weddings, baptisms, football matches and any popular or religious event. And in the Fallas that take place in March, the maximum expression of pyrotechnics occurs throughout the month, every day there are fireworks.

Hi. I'm from Valencia and the Colon Market area it's perfect. It's in the very center town, no graffiti as far as I remember, very nice, stately and elegant zone, and you can visit by foot everything. Valencia is a very safe city, and you can go everywhere with an absolute feeling of safety even at late hours at night. Maybe you have to keep an eye on your wallet in the fireworks, train station or crowded events, like every other touristic city.
The Council organise a special event with fireworks on New Year's Eve, but the last one was deprogrammed because the Covid and it's uncertain what is going to happen this year.

the people of spain should be afforded the ability to live in its own center of every city Spain is the most beautiful country and easy living this is why us ex-pats will come and drain it dry of what draws any foreigner to it

I was wondering about that also. Spain has 30% youth unemployment, their restlessness worries me.

what our mayor was trying to do is recover a part of the cabanyal, which is full of drug addicts, and open an avenue in that area that connects the center of valencia to the sea, but in the end it was not done, it is not as you have told it, with all my respect. it's a political issue because the left wing in Spain loves not to advance, anyway thank you for your lovely video
