Getting there Tim I bet you can’t wait to get sorted and move in. I’m currently going the other way and doing a van conversion to move out of the motorhome!!
The tune is, "Oh yeah you did", featuring Brooklyn Basics from Trout Recordings. It is one of the soundtracks available from the Pro version of the Power Director editor app.
Just a sugestion but maybe get some wire wool and go around where you're sealing just a quick wipe after to get a clean surface, might be a bit late now though but if you dont get the green algae stuff off 1st then the majority of the sealent will stick to that rather than the surface itself and it will fall off, not that I'm an expert though.... 😂 I'm pretty sure if you cleaned the roof with mould and mildew remover it would come up really clean with minimal effort but it could cause staining if it runs down the sides of the van. Fingers cross it holds as it is, only time will tell, it can't make it any worse and will hopefully dry the van out. Maybe a diesel heater would be a good idea to help with that, they are cheap and easy enough to install 👍
The fibreglass panels themselves are completely waterproof; it's just the joins between them and the holes cut in for skylights and other appliances that are letting the water in. We've just had a lot of rain last night, so I'm going to have a look in a minute to see whether my bloody awful mass has actually worked.
hope all the sealing works it might not look pretty but if it works thats all that matters ,rattling down the jobs, yer pretty smart with electrics ,bit too enthusiastic with start up,soon you will have topped up batteries and the old girl will perform may cough abit but youll be rolling soon ,ps the sealant will wear off in time 😄cheers sam
@@SocksWithSandals great news tim ,i too having problems with modern vans mines been in a garage for repair 11 months and counting, so was looking at retro vans which is how i found your entertaining channel, simple just works the modern are just overcomplicated and designed to break tbh ,give the old girl a good run and when up to steam blow the cobwebs off and get all the parts moving youll have less bother when their being used and abused lol a great result that can only improve looks real promising moving forwards cheers sam
I wish I could edit another one, David, but I'm all up to date now. All that's left today is to see how the awful rain overnight is dealt with by the gutter sealant.
hope you get it sealed and sound before winter hits ! just keep checking each thing of the list when you can no matter how small it will eventually get there
Well done . like I used to say to my children. You can do anything if you put your mind to it.take care

Vans are much easier to drive and park and take you to more remote locations.
My favourite soundtrack thus far.

Good advice, Boris.
What a bloody mess Tim. Never mind who’s going to see it. Stephen from country van life used some great stuff to seal whole of roof.

She's gonna start Tim yeah 👍 brilliant 💯
A couple of turns out of the crank while the batteries were charging is certainly encouraging.
Nearly there Tim ❤
The Mansion wasn't that far gone when I bought it, so hopefully I am close to restoring it to a usable state.
Good to see it getting sorted mate , soon be a palace

I will have my first night in The Mansion soon. And then my first adventure.

Last time I bought tiger seal it had carcinogenic warning sign on it , may have been a good idea to wear the gloves my friend
Yeah, I'm not worried.
Two in one day - it's like Ferrero Rochelle - you are spoiling us .

love your editing as well haha
The rain has already begun this evening, so tomorrow I will see how well the sealant has rainproofed the roof.
That sealant looks like one of your dinners but probably less toxic?! But it is progress nonetheless.
Feeling more positive now!
I'm glad you are feeling better about the quality of my food intake.
No I'm feeling better because you got your roof sealed!
With your constitution you can eat anything!
If you want to clean up that black gutter sealant up use WD40 it’s the best thing to get that crap off
I will take your advice, Bob.
Function over form
I prefer the expression "engineering led design".
One of those heavy-duty Snap on starter boxes would be nice.
Is that a Jump starting battery pack?
@@SocksWithSandals yea, car dealers use them, starts lorrys

I stand corrected, the mansion
Did it do the trick and stop the leaks matey
Well, David, that's the plot for the next episode...
Same bat time
Same bat channel.
And she probably did 🤟👍💯🚐❤️
Who probably did what?
Context, dear boy!
