He's a honest, outspoken Brit, and he has seen some real life! Well done to him, he has established a business, has a great life, true relaxation, money! No drugs bro! 😏👍
We used to have death taxes in Australia (it was a state tax), but good ol uncle Joh (Bjelke-Petersen) got rid of it in Queensland causing QLD to become known unofficially as the "retirement state", with all the retirees fleeing to QLD and taking their money with them the other states had to get rid of their death taxes to stop the haemorrhaging, because it was impacting land tax revenues.
We used to have death duty (aka death tax) I think it was 1974 or maybe 76 when the then Premiere of Queensland Jho Beolkie Peterson abolished death duty's, I saw him on the national news saying "hear in Queensland we tax our people while they are alive, I'll be damed if we're going to tax em when they die,!" And within 12 months every other state & territory did the same...
That's why the youngens don't know what it is. That's the only good thing this New South Welchman knows Jho did.
It's quinine, not thionine. Yes we have proper tonic water and it's still strong enough to prevent malaria. The tonic water is about 1/4 the strength of the antimalaria tonic back in WWII.
I think I only
know of 1 or 2 ppl who haven't been overseas. Not just Bali, but Europe, US etc.
As for police, ive had several interactions over the years ( son has a Mental illness. Was spirally for a while) they have been fantastic. Cant praise them enough for their patience and understanding.
As for drugs at festivals etc, a few young ones have died from overdoses so they have cracked down on them. A good thing!
There is no federal inheritance tax in the US. Inherited assets may be taxed for residents of Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Nebraska, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
hey mate I'm sorry you got bad allergies. I sure can sympathise I suffer from bad allergies as well mainly in spring time
The distance I've travelled in Australia is the same as the distance between London and Warsaw.
Is that all? That's not far unless you did it in a single day, time to go for a proper drive, I've done the equivalent of Edinburgh to Athens in a single trip (multi-day of course, 1000 click or 10 hours is as much as I'm prepared to do in a day), and I know plenty of people who've driven further in Australia (it's not hard)
@@daveamies5031 Do you want a fucking medal?
In Western Australia most go to Bali instead of over East .
Hi Mate I'm on the east coast and go to Kiwi Land or one of the Islands, couldn't stand sydney and I was born there Cheers
I can't take most complaints seriously 'cos now he has a mullet 😂 Well and truly converted brother!
pretty sure double demerits is a NSW thing. doesn't happen in VIC and i only ever hear Sydney people complaining about it.
more Australians have travelled overseas than haven't, and apparently Australians on average have been to 20 countries. I think we do pretty well considering the isolation.
Hmm I wonder if doing less of the recreational substances and his business doing better is somehow related?
He was quite misleading, the Luxury Car Tax isn't a 33% tax on the full price. They take the difference between the LCT threshold and retail price - say a $90k car with threshold $85k (it varies), difference $5k. The 10% GST comes off $5k, giving $4.5k; the 33% is applied to that, so tax is $1,485. The car is $91,485, not $129.7k (+33% of $90k) as he erroneously implied.
His accent is a bastardised Brit, Kiwi, Aussie blend, and it's abominable. Aussies don't say "Brother" in that way, that would be a Kiwi bouncer.
I've only ever had great interactions with cops, but then, I don't break the law as he appears to do.
His car would be a rated as a tax deductible business asset! 🤨
@@jenniferharrison8915 Very true, I'd forgotten that, thanks! Given that the car he showed was in the $200k range, it would be a considerable deduction at that.
