I'm also here because, lets just say, Drach sent me. :) Happy I made it. Subcribed and looking forward to many great new videos. So far they have been quite good. Thank you for sharing with us.
Hello! I came here after watching your joint coverage of the Battle of Coronel with Drachinifel. I very much enjoyed your joint work, and am looking forward to acquainting myself with your efforts!
The invisioned role of battleships, i feel like HMS Warspite is the only battleship that managed to carry out this role with results during both world wars. even though battleships were pretty much obsolete with the advent of a practical and useful aircraft carrier. She sailed with distinction way past the expiry date of battleships. I would say for such an old design it was a bloody good one.
hey there mate. welcome. im hoping the audio isnt as bad her as it was on the video with drach. :) i think i sorted that issue out, shame it was after the videos audio was recorded
Good video, which is interesting and has excellent content! Yes, from Drydock to Shipyard is a logical choice for me. Keep getting better and we'll keep watching, have subscribed and expect great things from you, no pressure intended.
I followed you here from Drachs too. That was a good history of the ships. If I can make one humble suggestion, slow your narration down a little and smooth out the pace of your delivery. It will help you avoid the stumbles from going too fast. I subscribed.
Did they keep their torpedoes after the refit? I am very interested in the history of these ships, especially the modifications, armour, torpedo bulges, power plants etc. Can't wait for more videos
i believe that, but don't quote me on this, the torpedo tubes were removed. Also, thank you for subscribing :) means a lot, and there is a lot more coming in the future
Another Drachonian here. He is the Dreadnought of all things floaty and boomy, but more quality content is always welcomed! Hint- at 0.75 speed you sound like a slightly drunken Drach. Work on enunciation, voice control, and sounding more conversational and less like you're reading a script. But that's some serious nitpicking- I'm a subscriber now! Congrats on the channel!
oh dear haha, i can only imagine drach drunk haha. i will try on that front with the video im about to do. the original idea of it was like the briefs i give in work to command on tactical engagements or threat briefs
Uncle Drach sent me, but I can always use a good new channel. I like your work, my only criticism is your Captain Kirk style pauses between some phrases. But I'd like to be a nice guy and perhaps it's just your style.
I can assure you, that is definitely going away :) I’ve noticed it since that video and the new ones that are uploaded (maybe not in the re uploaded ones but oh well, the new ones have got it)
i have a question. which is truly the world first fast battleship, the hood or the QE ? if we go with the "faster then 25knot" designation, then i think it's fair to give hood the title, since QE's 25knot was not in usual condition
see, idk, there classed back then as fast battleships because they were the fastest. so if you think about it, hood would be the first, going off fast battleships criteria in WW2 of the Iowa
🤔🧐So, what do you do with your most decorated & beloved warship after it's decommissioned?? You save it as a museum ship! No, no... Just kidding. You scrap it ASAP!! 🤪😟😫
Only one problem............metres only. This is the Royal Navy sir! None of this French nonsense please. Fisher and Churchill would be going into meltdown. Get a grip man.

Here, because of Drach and your Minecraft HMS QE 2 video.

Just subscribed after watching Drach's Battle of Coronel video. Liking your style.

@@TheShipYard2 audio is better. I'm sure you will have odd teething problems but will overcome. :)
@@iankerridge5720 we all do, but we learn and improve :)
Here I am former US Army subscribing to a naval channel. This is very interesting! Thanks to Drach letting us know about this.
Elevation and range of the main battery is good stuff. Helps provide perspective on tactical employment. Thanks for posting.
One more Sailor sent over from Drach!
Welcome my friend :)
Great video, looking forward for more!

I just watched Drachinifel's and your account of the Battle of Cornel, your site looks as interesting as his! Hope to see more of you.
Well thank you. The audio is much better on the other videos, I shall say that 😂
@@TheShipYard2 I bet you've gone through the same process as other RUclipsrs: finding the right microphone!
Like your info.
Glad to hear it!
It's a disgrace that HMS Warspite was not preserved for all time, like Nelson's Victory.
Just subed, good luck to you Sir.
Thank you good sir

R class battleships next?
Stand while before a mike.
Why is Warspite so heavily down by tha bows in the pic at 9.37?
That was Warspite limping back to Malta 19 Sept 1943 after the Fritz X attacks.
She actually slid through the Straits of Messina SIDEWAYS !!!

@@TheShipYard2 we can all agree that hood was a magnificent warship, even by WWII standard
The QE2 was classed as a fast battleship, while the Hood was classed as a battlecruiser by the RN.
@@TheShipYard2 But the Hood was a battlecruiser, like the Renown and Repulse, NOT a battleship!
@@13stalag13 a battlecruiser that is as heavily protected as a battleship ?
Permission to come aboard Captain? Currently stationed on the HMS Drachinifel.
Permission granted. Put your name on the sheet and come on board
