Ian Veneracion's Surprise Performance Wows Palarong Pambansa 2024 Delegats at Mayor's Night!

The Mayor's Fellowship Night for Palarong Pambansa 2024 was a night to remember! Regional school officers and representatives gathered at the Convention Center of Nustar Resort and Casino, hosted by the Cebu City Government. The evening featured a surprise appearance by ‘crush-ng-bayan’ Ian Veneracion, who serenaded the guests. The University of Cebu Dance Company (UCDC) kicked off the night with an opening dance number, "Welcome to Cebu, Welcome to our hearts," featuring three-time gold medalists Pearl Marie Cañeda and Wilber Aunzo.
Acting Vice Mayor Donaldo "Dondon" Hontiveros welcomed the attendees, while Acting Mayor Raymund Garcia emphasized unity and fellowship in his special message, saying, "For a moment, let's forget about competition and focus instead on fellowship and camaraderie. We are, after all, one Filipino people." Assistant Secretary for Operations Dr. Francis Cesar B. Bringas expressed gratitude on behalf of the Department of Education for the warm welcome.
The event, attended by heads of delegation and sports officials, set the stage for Palarong Pambansa 2024. The night ended with an after-party featuring Revel Band playing 80's music.
