#91 A cruise through Harecastle tunnel - Is the name 'Scarecastle' really justified?

We're cruising north on the Trent and Mersey canal and had to go through the notorious 1.6 mile long Harecastle - or 'Scarecastle' - tunnel. We found it no more 'scary' than any other long tunnel, although with the closed doors and fans whirring away, it definitely is not a good place for anyone who's claustrophobic.
