    The longer you go without detangling the more shedding you’ll get at one time

      Facts. Scalp sheds up to 100 hairs a day. If there is no combing, brushing or any means to rid shed hair, the amount of hair shed after removing 8 week old braids will appear significant.
      Shed hair will appear in longer strands because it is "shed" hair.
      In the case where Mercy's middle section is broken off, that looks more like breakage rather than shredding.
      It is true that hairstyles need to be switched up to allevuate over manipulation.

      If I go longer than 3 days without moisturizing by scalp and hair it will dry out and fall out my scalp like a plant. Unfortunately this happens often for me. My hair is not hardy like a cactus, it is more like a delicate fern and takes more maintenance than I would like.

    Girl, the shedding is normal. We tend to shed hair everyday so considering your hair untouched or not manipulated for 8weeks with that shedding is OK.

      I was about to put this same thing. We often forget that our hair sheds everyday so if we go weeks without touching it, the shed hair is gonna look like alot once you finally do wash it. I had singles in for three weeks and when I took it down I thought I was going bald with the amount of shed hairs I had. I had to remind myself that it was normal.

      @naughtysims30 4 года назад +7

      @@yakov7346 I would say 4 weeks at the most but that's just my opinion. It really depends on how your feeling like your hair is doing. When I put in my singles I wanted to keep them in for 8 weeks but I realized that I can't go that long without touching my hair. I wash my hair weekly to better keep track of my shed hair so going longer than two weeks was really hard for me. But really it all depends on what you are comfortable with. Back before I started actively taking care of my hair I used to wear singles all the time but I wasn't paying attention to shed hair or breakage. Now I just stick with twists and I keep them in for a week or two then wash and do it over

      I know they say you loose 100 hairs a day. So on average we lose 3,000 hairs a month which totals 36,000 hairs a year. Calculating these numbers I just can't believe that is true and we are to be ok with loosing a lot of hair. For me, that much hair after 8 weeks would scare me so bad. But it is what you are comfortable with. I am not comfortable so I don't do anything more than 2 weeks and 2 weeks is not very often.

Now once you've taken out your braids, brushed it that clump of hair seems like too much because it's all at once. Your hair is beautiful, don't stress yourself out please!

    🙄I know na, people with a lot of hair like us, I don't like to see much shedding of my hair like that. I'll be using that Aloe Vera always as you've instructed us to. I love so much hair like you and it shrinks like own. The look on your face got me to almost cry 😢. Thank you for your awesome videos. ❤️❤️🤗❤️ more Grace.

    Your hair is really prospering! I have a crazy amount of shedding too once I take my braids down but it’s because I leave them up for about 8 weeks also so I definitely feel your pain! Great video I love it queen!! Thanks for the consistently amazing content!!! 😍😍

    I have taken my protective styles out after 8 weeks but I use coconut oil to loosen up my tangles with my gingers. I (co-wash)wash my hair with my braids and condition once a week. The hair that ( usually) sheds is loose shedded hair in with your braids.

    My son and I are natural as well...my hair is medium thin and down my back, while my son hair is very thick and almost waist length! A person normally sheds about 100 strands of hair a day...so therefore your hair was in a protective style which it couldn't shed properly until you have comb,brush or washed it...so it's normal! Tfs💞💞💞

    I put olive oil in my hair and wrap it with a shower cap to melt the build up. Once I feel my scalp is free and I can feel everything moving then ill unbraid my hair. Finally I wet it and massage each corner to make sure everything is gone. Part the hair and detangle then when finished the shampoo starts.

    Hello 👋🏽, I found your channel you are amazing and beautiful. I have a couple tips to offer. Blend your aloe first before you strain it, just so you don’t waste any. Also, you can turn the skin into oil by boiling it with any oil, I personally use olive oil or grape seed oil. You boil it until the skin turns brown. Hope you have a beautiful day just trying to spread a lil love 💕.
