Watch Brian's face as he listens to Tammy perform one of his masterpieces. He is almost moved to tears and clearly LOVING every minute of it!! Two legendary artists.
Im always amazed when i watch this, you can see the pain in Brian's face, as he's reliving his childhood pain. You can hear the pain in Tammy's voice as shes singing.
Great, I agree with all the other comments, Tammy was the great female country singer of all time, she is greatly missed thank God for the music she left us.
This is so bittersweet.. Knowing this was the last recording Tammy ever recorded... We are fortunate to have this on video, but brings tears to my eyes every time.. Rest in peace First Lady... Love you Tammy.. 💞
Hard to believe Tammy was only in her 50's when she died in 1998. She died the same year as my Mom. I was only 36. I am now in my 50's and it is true how time flies by the older you get. First thing I notice here is Tammy's sad eyes, she is not wearing any wedding rings, and how frail she looks. “Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not; and often times we call a man cold when he is only sad.”
Priceless! Tammy singing along with herself at the end is so beautiful. An artist at work... feeling it. Thank you for the joy of these clips. We miss you, Tammy.
Thanks for this wonderful rendition and interpretation of Brian's song. She did it more than justice. She's still the greatest that ever lived of all the Country singers females. She was 1 of a kind! I love her so much!
I didn't know Tammy had recorded this until I read her biography. I immediately looked it up, and was stunned. It's a rare singer that can bring tears to your eyes.
I'm so glad I was listening to the PBS Radio in my area yesterday, to discover this, I thought they had just produced it, tihs past year.. Really good to see Miss Wynette getting into this song so well. Brian Wilson looks like he's having a great time, which is good to see.! Doesn't get much better than this.
Thanks For Posting This Last Recording Of Miss Tammy, Awesome Song & The Emotions & Feelings Tammy Has In Her Angelic Voice, Just Gives You The Chills. She's One Of The Best & Favorite Singer Of All Time, There Is Only One Tammy Wynette, God Bless Tammy & Her Family!!

I don't think Tammy ever realized just how very special she was to so many ! I miss her more and more.

Yes, this is Tammy's final recording, & it's beautiful. It should have been on their album, Stars & Stripes. Gorgeous. Wolfsky9
This was literally Tammy Wynette's last recording session. Over and out.

I love it when other artists cover the beach boys with them singing back up. The Beach boys, what a legacy.

2 Tortured souls who let the pain out through their music. Nothing better..........
Brian was only half right. He was writing about every teen ager who ever grew up.
