from Sydney Australia here... and learning survival skills is always important, specially if you travel to remote places and mountains like when you guys can travel again.
Las Vegas, NV! As a US Navy sailor I was stationed at Naval Air Station Cubi Point in Subic Bay, Zambales. Cubi Point is actually in the province of Bataan but it is part of the Subic Bay Naval Station complex and a lot of the area is in the jungles of Bataan. It was required of us to undergo basic training in JEST (Jungle Environmental Survival Training). It was actually pretty cool, our instructors were Aeta indigenous tribesmen who live in villages around and inside the Subic Bay complex. The Aetas were the only civilian folks allowed to go freely in and out of the base and the US government took pretty much care of them as they were the protectors of the surrounding land and jungles of the base. They were also given various labor jobs within the base.
Hi Edzel My grand father is the founder of JEST Camp in Subic Bay and I am also and my father are instructor of survival techniques. thank yoj for remembering our tribe Godbless you and your family as well
Hahaha! Lucy was not prepared to see the skinned snake! Her reaction was priceless! Perfectly understandable! I wasn't either but I reacted too slow and saw everything! Poor snake! 🐍 RIP...
When it comes to survival like in the forest Filipinos' are used to do that such things just to survive in terms of having food to eat and making a fire without lighter and everything 😊 we have that kind of survival skills 😊
You should check out videos on how the SEA countries select their military commandos . They are experts in guerrilla warfare so surviving in a jungle with limited resources (practically naked with just a knife ) is part of their training . It's interesting and pretty insane . I have great respect for them .
My dad was a former Philippine Marine. And i'm currently a member of the (Philippine Army Special Forces). Worked alongside the marines before such great warriors! PS: The reddish things they were eating are called kamote(Sweet potatoes) there's another one called "Kamoteng kahoy" (Cassava) we used to eat it alot sometimes. Cause in some abandoned area they grow wildly and their awesome to go with coffee.
advance equipment will run out. dead batt, no ammo, no food, no water. this will be the last resort. or when you escape from the enemy captivity you have nothing. you have to survive the jungle.
And yeah, that wouldn't help 'em when they get stranded in an islad where they got is their own selves... MREs wouldn't be available and they have to eat what's available.
Philippine Marines are one of the best, inspite of lack of equipment... 🇵🇭👍
The Philippine Scouts don't use any advance equipments, They use Talent and Skills
MTF_Commander09 _Black Raven_ I’m from the Philippines and I’m telling u are telling the truth

Did you know that US Soldiers have trained jungle survival in the Philippines to prepare them for the Vietnam war decades ago?
