  • Pokemon Unite has been stuck in the same meta for weeks now with the a bunch of blue pokemon at the top of the tier list, and the new balance patch did little to change things. Many players are upset that pokemon like Lucario, and Greninja didn't get nerfed in this update, but I think it's okay for a game to stay in the same meta for a while. Every pokemon feels very balanced right now, and I'm personally enjoying the stability of the meta.

    The real issues with the game in my opinion are how overpowered zapdos is, how broken the ranked system is, and how completely game breaking the unite cancel bug is on certain pokemon.

    Drop the double points in the last two minutes, and make rotom goals double in points. The game will then have different strategies in the game theory side of the game. Which when the goals of the teams vary the teams will naturally vary. Fix the cancel bug, and fix rank mode by dropping bots and no solo's versus 5-man teams.

      That'd be a very interesting change. Players would definitely start gravitating more towards Rotom if that happened.

    Hope if they do nerf Lucario, they don’t nerf him to where he’s useless like they did Gengar. I used Lucario since day 1.

      A nerf is coming, they’ll have to make space for a new top tier all-rounder eventually. I don’t think it will happen until after they give us a new all-rounder though. (Maybe Mamoswine will be that all-rounder?)

    Bro honestly I am okay when they cancel my blastiose ult because his shield is giant and I got it once 4 times every 3 seconds because it kept getting canceled. That was broken

    For a game that's brand new, I feel they did a great job with the balance more or less of the pokemon. I just hate the way ranked matches go. There are games when I feel I have useless teammates that do not know what to do, and others that do. If they find a better way to rank people in games with similar skill levels, the game would be much better as I for one would not mind losing to a team that had better gameplay and skill instead of a teammate or 2 throwing.

      Pretty much. You can still win after losing the Zapdos, but it take an extraordinary effort.

    Actually rethinking about its not the doubles points that gets me its the fact that the points become instant. The zapdos is actualy a good balance for teams that are behind. They take away the instant points and then becomes a good behind win well earned. The fact you cant gaurd the zones is fusterating not the fact teams can catch from behind thats actualy good

    I believe that Gengar is still bugged. It's no problem that he can now take damage while HEXing. The problem is that HEX does not seem to reset after Gengar takes damage while he is HEXing. Before they fixed the bug, HEX could loose its reset even if Gengar did not take damage, but now, the fix seems to have made it so that HEX only loses its reset after Gengar takes damage or possibly after he gets CC'd. The way that it should work is that Gengar should get the HEX reset as long as he hits a target that has a status condition regardless of whether he gets hit/CC'd or not. However, he still often does not get the reset, even after he hits a poisoned target.

    I'm currently hoping that underperforming Pokes get bumped up in power instead of well off Pokes getting Nerfed.
    I still think people are underrating the earlier game play & overrating Zappie. :(

      Believe the hype. Zapdos is straight up overpowered. You’ll understand when you’ve experienced it yourself on mobile. There’s no reason why a team should be able to win for 8 minutes, lose a coin flip, then lose the entire game.

      Right, you can still win after losing Zapdos. But more often than not, losing Zapdos means losing the game regardless of anything else that happened in the game, and this is simply not a fun gameplay mechanic to play around.

    Zapdos does need a nerf so many game where my team is winning the whole game and they get zapos and then we lose 😭😭😭also anyone else get glitches it freezes for about a minute reconnecting?

      That glitch sounds like a bad connection. I've seen it happen to me and a few friends before. Happens when the internet is acting funky. Are you playing in handheld mode? My connection is always worse in handheld.

    I don’t agree with ur take on how no one plays these four Pokémon in ranked bc the rank system in this game is awful. I’m masters yet I have 2 permalaners people who start zapdos when we have a huge lead. The rank system lets atrocities players reach masters

    They need to cap the held items on standard plays.. too many noobs against a team on vets all with 20+ items is no chance in hell. If they cap the item effects to level 10 on standard plays only, it would give beginners a chance against pay-to-win players

      The problem is that beginners are facing veterans. I promise you a seasoned player will demolish any new player even if their items were switched.
      Capping items at level 10 might make the beginners feel better, but it wouldn't actually solve the issue.

      Which is also true, I also feel they should do something about the match making pool, with players of fewer matches vs players more seasoned. The only thing that hurts a team in standards, are players who go through 9 levels with hardly much to compete against. Also, with ranked only allowing certain levels to play in the same lobby, it pushes teams to standards more, taking advantage of the vast increase of noobs just starting off in the game.

    Legit Zappos needs a huge nerf in my book it’s just stupid who ever gets zap wins… I think the cc needs to be nerf there is way to much cc and they last kinda long… like slowbro and jigglypuff cc is way to long

      I know exactly how bad and unbalanced this game can feel at times, but it's honestly one of the better balanced games I've played. Balance can never be perfect but this game manages to make every pokemon feel viable.
