Luka being the 10th best scorer in the league on the list is by far the WORST ranking in the history of this show and it all started with Biased grilltown picking TATUM over LUKA DONCIC as a scorer. Top 5 post scoring, most double teams seen per game, most blitzes seen BY FAR per game and overall sees the MOST defensive attention in the league and still shoots 61% ts while being 50% from the field and all that on high volume + he has the playoff translation from previous seasons. I’m tired of Jokic not being considered an elite/top 5 scorer. His regular season efficiency was insane, shot 61% from mid which is the highest all time on that volume. His efficiency dropped in the playoffs but still dropped 30 a game on 54% fg, and 46% from 3. His touch around the rim is immaculate, he’s got a 3 ball that stretches deep, he regularly hits stepbacks and fades in and out of the post, and has euros and spins driving to the rim, spins, drives hooks, and dropsteps in the post.
What more do y’all want from a scorer?? He just controls his volume to some degree because it benefits his team to playmake at an elite level when help comes. But being able to scorer 25+ off of just 15 shots is >>

I don't think the panel really understood what Marz was saying. Steph being a greater SHOOTER than Hakeem is as a DEFENDER isn't a measure of value because DEFENSE as a conglomerate is more important than the singular aspect of shooting. So you can probably give any insert big man the skills of the top 4 or 5 DEFENDERS ever to bring more value than the singular aspect of giving a PG the shooting ability of Steph. Even if the 4th best defender isn't as high on the totem pole of defense.

The production is what matters, not the names. Aminu was killing it in that series, he was giving high level production and “help,” regardless of his name and lack of accolades. The rhetorical question “who did Dame have as help?” trying to point out the lack of star power names has no meaning when the no name players are giving star name production.

In 2016 against the 73 win GSW Dame outscored CJ by 10 ppg on 4% better TS tf is Ticket talking about. Why is Dame's 4th season in the league being used against him??? Why are Marz and Ticket acting like his game hasn't had a jump from 2020 onwards? Who else outside Lebron gets criticized for their 4th year like that? He literally even said Dame "is in the beginning of his prime" yet brings up all this past shit. This just sound like winning bias. Heat gonna win anyway so Ticket's whole "what we gonna say" means nothing, but okay. Dame was 2nd behind Jokic in all offensive metrics last season, and he had all time offense against the 2021 Nuggets.

It has to be an eye test thing to be so extremely hesitant and label him that way, so what do you see/not see that magically would make him worse after round 1? I've never seen as much of a narrative around a player based off literally 1 series.

If Dame on the Heat performs more like his 2021 series vs the Nuggets than the 2019 series for the post-season are you gonna be shocked and think this somehow contradicts what you've seen from Dame or will you be coming from the perspective where you expect that given the difference in competency/help between Miami and Portland as organizations and that he's just performing like the player is?

You only point to the games where he was off but ignore when Dame was on. You ignore when a defensive game plan is built to work on Dame and act shocked when others on the team have a good game.
