I love this tune and the way you both play it. It’s got me reading about and listening to Omer Forster and Houston Daniel, and I’m loving what I’m hearing.
That's interesting. I'll have to listen to a setting of the Burns piece. I guess it carries several names in the Southeastern US. On the Omer Forster album that we learned this version from, he recorded it in a different key and called it "Love Somebody." I've heard other friends in Tennessee call it "Chinquapin." I guess Babe Spangler over in Virginia called it "Midnight Serenade." A veritable proliferation of names!
Exellent nice, remember there was an italian miners group generally from Piemont and Liguria, north west italy, in the Appalachian mounts. Like the singer Mattea, and I see one great Decosimo here, very very nice.
Blows my mind that people on social media get rich and famous over stupid and talentless shit... you gentlemen, deserve a grand following because of your conduct and talent 👏 bravo
@@JosephDecosimo Hello Joseph. Johannes made me a Bonefaas classic 12" over here in Europe. He's a good bloke and makes great banjos. Always enjoy your playing, be it on banjo or fiddle, solo or band. regards from Paul.
Very nice job fellas!! That banjos tone complimented that fiddle so well, and the fiddle playing was so smooth! Y’all have an album out? I’d love to have some to spin when I have git togethers here at the house.
Thanks a ton! Luke's a killer banjo player and a blast to play with. I put a link to our band's album in the description of the video above. I think it will pair well with git togethers!
I could loop this all day. Wonderful stuff guys

In the UK this tune is known as "Too Young to Marry". The tune is also used for Robert Burns' s "My Love is But a Lassie Yet"

What is fiddle tuning?
It's in cross tuning (AEAE) very low.
