It is hard to break through the US market. So far, no groups had succeed. Even if some groups like EXO, SNSD, INFINITE (I'm just naming some groups) are quite famous in Europe and USA, but they are actually known for Kpop and among the Kpopers. But Wonder Girls (a little) succeed to place their name among the non-Kpopers, of course due to their song Nobody.
Can we say they are one of the many Kpop groups failed attempt to tap into the US market? Wonder Girls, Girls Generation, and many more. Sure they did debut themselves on late night tv shows and concert but the fact that majority of the concert audience attendance are of Asian decent and the TV appearance was on a late night show targeting the wrong audience. I dont think any idol groups can make it in American music industry.

I knew nothing about kpop but when I was younger I constantly saw posters of wonder girls and heard a lot of news about them. I feel like more people would know wonder girls than snsd tbh.
