Thank you so much for teaching us this method. I don't sell bakery or sweets but I love making them for my family and I can't wait to try this for our son's 24th birthday.
aww you actually listened to my comment in a previous video! no one does that! thank you!! ive been charging 65 and i live in cali so its time for an upgrade hahah
Yes! I charge $80 per letter/number and I’m in Ca bayarea, adding extra stuff raises the price depending on what the customer wants. I’ve had someone tip me $150 for a 2 number cake which I charged $150 for. They paid $300 and wouldn’t take the tip back saying they appreciated me doing it last minute for them, poker themed. PS I don’t use buttercream though, I use a stabilized whipped cream
Do you feel the exposed edges dry quickly and that this cake requires a simple syrup? Or do you just make them closer to the time they are needed? Love the cake by the way! 💙
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe thank you for the reply! I have only ever done a shape cut out cake that was iced around the sides and was always curious about these. I think they are so gorgeous.
Thank you for showing this! I think I should invest in some baking pans to make these, right now I have a springform pan and loaf pan and some glass baking dishes, which works most of the time... Then again my oven is not very good so maybe I should invest in a better one first! I'm just starting learning small things like making my own frosting and piping, it's so much fun though and these number/letter cakes caught my eye ages ago. Thanks for showing us cool things and giving even simple advice like "stop piping" lol
These cakes are a great place to start! As long as your cake is baked thoroughly, it will work and you can cut off any bits you don’t like. Haha I know that piping thing seems so silly, but I honestly made so many mistakes no one ever told me not to do 😂
Omgosh, I'm nervous because I have to make a carrot cake. The silicon pans seemed better because I don't want to carve into rasins and nuts and have the cake looking too jagged 🤦🏾♀️ Wish me luck. Uuugghh, and I had to find a more sturdy cream cheese frosting. Do you have one?
I don’t do cream cheese frosting often, but I feel like on one of my fall treat box videos I may have made some carrot cake cupcakes and I remember the frosting being super easy to pipe. The moulds are great to use!! Good luck 🥰💕
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe OK, I'll search for it. Cream cheese icing is such a challenge, and I've got an event next month for a half sheet red velvet cake 😭 I already know the outside piping will be buttercream
You mentioned this feeds 10. Is there such thing as more feeds when it coems to order of LETTER AND NUMBERS? SUCH as these? Or THESE type of cake WILL ALWAYS BE A ONE STANDARD SIZE AND SHOULDN'T BE MADE BIGGER?
You can definitely go bigger like making 2 of those half sheet pans and stacking those! I just went smaller because this was for my sister and she only needed a small amount 🥰
Greetings from Maine! I really, really liked this cake. :) Looking forward to your new ABC tutorial. I hope you had a chance to try out the recipe I shared with you.
I use the same FULL recipe (with a little leftover) as noted in the description of this video: ruclips.net/video/Jr7y_jxaxms/видео.html

🥰💕 yes-I think in Cali you could definitely raise the price!! (Based on the little I know about the area haha 😂)

@@itsHerlindaG wow!!! I so rarely got tipped for cakes-that’s amazing!
HERLINDA GUTIERREZ WOULD YOU MIND SHARING YOUR STABILIZED WHIP CREAM RECIPE?
I love it. It's beautiful.
Question. Don't the exposed cake become dry
The video I've been waiting for! Absolutely love it! As usual, great presentation and explaining. 😁
Thanks so much for your continual support 🥰💕🍰
So detailed and I appreciate this video and I sub immediately! Do you mind me asking the size of the cake board is?
Love how cute this came out. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks, Kat!! 🥰💕

Love the cake by the way! 💙
Definitely if this were for an order or wasn’t going to be eaten within a few hours I would put in a sugar syrup!

Great question!
Yay! I was waiting for this! I love the colors you used! It’s so beautiful 🤩
Thanks so much, Krystal!
this is so pretty!! I never think of piping the numbered letter pan like you did
Aw thank you so much :)

Aw thanks so much 💕💕
This has me so excited to make another cake
It came out so beautiful! What size cake pan did you use & what size is the cutout letter. I want to try this out. 💖💖💖 Thank you.
Absolutely amazing, and great combinations of different elements, i cant seem to find a lot of letter cake tutorials online, thankss
❤✨
Thank you so much 🥰💕
I love your writing on the board! How about a video on how to write like that?
Sure! 🥰🥰
Such a cool cake. I am going to try your recipe. Thank you for your tutorial
Love this video, thanks for sharing! Quick question, how would you price for double number cakes? Eg; 22
I would double the price!
WOW! OMG! so beautiful cakes decoration 😍 i hope i can practice your technique of decoration some cakes in my own kitchen😍😍
I know its a trend to put a lot of extra stuff on cakes but i thought the piping was beautiful on its own & the chocolates & cookies obscured that.
Watching all the way from trinidad 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹 much love 💕
Thank you so much for watching 🥰💕
Omg totally in love with this! Yay!
Thank you, Paige!! 💕
Love this cake! Going to attempt a letter cake for my daughters birthday next month😊
Oh yay! Good luck with it I'm sure it will be deliciously beautiful!
Wow wow WOW! 😋 😋 Absolutely amazing 🤩

Love your ideas!
Thanks so much 🥰💕
Love this!!!
Thanks, Becca!
I love this cake!
Whenever I make buttercream cakes I think of you!! 🥰💕
So for this cake pan. How much batter you used? One batch, 2 batches?
I think I used a quadruple batch of my normal vanilla cake recipe :)
Hi! I'm starting to sell my letter cakes, but can't seem to find the right size boxes for them! What size do you suggest?
Wow i Love it, will do this as a Nr.4 for my Twin Girls can u give me ur Cake batter recipi? Love from Germany Xx
Hi, can you tell me how would this be packaged?
Do you have a recipie for your sheet cake
Love it. ❤️
🥰💕

Can you just use regular cake and frosting from a store?
You can! Just make sure to whip your frosting
What temp and how long did you bake it for ?
Oh yes that would be useful if I included that 😂 330 degrees F for approximately 35 minutes without opening the door
I was curious if there is a difference in recipe or process for making meringue for frosting vs meringue for meringue cookies?
Nope! I use the same process 🥰💕
Can this cake go in the fridge if made the day before ? Thank you 💕
Yes!
I wish I lived close to Ashleigh 😭
I want to order one 😭😭😭
how do you stop the cake from drying out seeing as it has exposed cut edges?
Soak it with simple syrup.
Greetings from Maine! I really, really liked this cake. :) Looking forward to your new ABC tutorial. I hope you had a chance to try out the recipe I shared with you.
🥰💕🍰
What type of cake batter is this?
It’s pretty much a vanilla sponge cake though this will work with any strong cake base
I pinned it in the comments to the exact recipe as well now 🥰
Thank you for replying and sharing your wonderful ideas, experience and expertise.
Is your pan a 1inch or 3 inch?
Ooo I believe it is 1 inch tall
