Great Video, very informative, I personally use google phones for the past few years. Every time i personally use a Samsung, I find it to feel like its to much going on, on screen. After pixel 3, its been nothing but pixel.
I was waiting for this video! I was genuinely curious about your experience. As someone who has used Google Pixel, Apple and Samsung. The pixel just remains my favourite. With the Samsung I just felt like they were too much things on it that i didnt need or never used at all and it just came across as bloat to me. I can see why most iPhone users that try Samsung as their first Android experience find it jarring. I always been an Android user first and for me pixel is a good mixture between simplicity and customization. So not as basic as apple but not too much options as Samsung.
Yea that's a good point. I think the transition from apple to android should definitely be the pixel. Samsung has a lot going for it but it's only good if you know you want that level of customization. I literally forgot I didn't have edge lighting until I made this video and that was a feature I loved but never really paid attention to I guess. I'm used to one ui so I think it's still my favorite but I also have a lot more experience with it. The more I've used this phone the more I've forgotten what things I thought I would miss when I first got it. I think the only thing I would really like is more rule customization but that's only because I specifically had one for when I went into the office.
@@MajesticMadness15 I used edge lighting too but when I switched brands I didn't miss it at all. I guess it all depends on the person. I would agree the rules on the pixel do need some work it could be less basic ya know. I think Google is capable of having better rules because of what I've seen with Assistant routines. They seem to be good with responding to feedback and I'm sure they would consider your requests. You can go into the settings then all the way down select tips and support then all the way down on the next page select "send feedback". I hope they take your thoughts into consideration
@ace0341 I actually uninstalled it. It was doing this weird thing where when I would make outbound calls on Bluetooth that I wouldn't hear a ring. It would just be silence and then s voicemail or someone answering. It was making it difficult to tell if people's phones were in do not disturb and silencing calls or if it was actually supposed to be ringing.
I am a new s24 ultra user, I am torn between the ultra and the pixel and initially the pixel was really catching my eye But definitely would not trade my ultra for any other phone! But pixel looks super cute.
Some of the best things I love about pixel are the exclusive features most people dont mention like "call screening" and "hold for me". I love being able to answer my phone using the Google assistant where I can type what I want her to say and the caller on the other end can respond and she will type what they are saying to me in real time. All without having to actually answer the phone. Lol
@@MajesticMadness15 yeah it comes in handy when I'm in meetings and can't answer. I hadn't done it lately on the 9 pro but it comes in handy when you need it. Great honest review. You have a sub in me 🙌🏾💯

Get a day and a half to two days of battery life. May have to add the next version to my personal line next year (Primary: iPhone 14 Pro Max, Secondary: Galaxy S 23 Ultra).
I can't ditch my foldables. But the 9 pro XL is now the weekend phone. Might S24 uktra once in a while but yeah. It takes adjusting to go from a device as customizable as a samsung device to a pixel but more often than not? The camera, call screen, now playing and all the extra little quality of life pixel features stack up and makes it a hard experience to kick...plus that CAMERA...whew. glad to see youre enjoying it though!
Exactly!!! I'm telling you this phone must be screening spam calls before they even call me because I've gotten next to none on 2 weeks and minimal "we blocked a suspected spam call" notifications. I really like the now playing as well. I think they're are little things on both that I love. I want to get back in the foldable game but I need them to give the flip style phones bigger batteries.

@katrinawhite8572 that really is the hardest part. I thought that since they're both android that it wouldn't be that much of a difference but I was very surprised. I still have my Samsung as well so we shall see what I pick down the road lol
The watch not syncing Do not disturb settings and alarms are due to it being a Samsung watch and pixel phone. These things are not an issue with a pixel watch and a pixel phone. Samsung has the call and text to their tablets feature if you have a samsung phone. I know if you download the Google messenger app on your samsung tablet, you can get text, but do you miss the calling function? Also, do you like Google Messenger more?
