    Is the Hijri lunar calendar we are using today the same as the one used in the time of the Prophet (pubs)?
    We’re going to show you that the Arabic lunar months were in fact attached to the seasons of the year and that the month of Ramadan used to come in the most moderate time of the year. A time when the weather is neither hot nor cold when the day is neither short nor long all over the earth in the northern and southern hemispheres.

    I foud out this through my father who either foud it through this video or another, but tbh I’ve been searching to confirm what my father told me and I only found your video. Its sad that even if this truth comes to light and gets to be known, a lot of people will deny it because its not said by the “scholars” and will not stick to it by fear of being mocked by non- muslim upon the fact that we have been fasting and doing hajj on the wrong times.

    A well-presented and very thorough analysis of the matter, it is most impressive! Consequently, I have aborted my fasting which started over a week ago and will restart in September Insha Allah. Alhamdulillah, it is heartening to see more people now speak up against the deviations of Islam and I hope that more people will be awake and start using their intellect to question other practices that are man-invented and have no basis in our religion.

      Meanwhile, probably the most amazing claim of the word "day" appearing 365 days is false. It is based on arbitrary exclusions and uses the solar, Gregorian calendar, while the 12 months miracle claim uses a verse that defines the Islamic year as based on the lunar calendar, which lasts 354 days. But even this word count "miracle" is inconsistent with regards to its counting method, for it counts plural and singular forms together and includes words with prefixes and suffixes. The way this is marketed is also deceptive, with apologists/du'aah (in the description of the word count) trying to make it seem that only the singular (or only the plural) forms were counted,[1] when in fact both are counted together. These word count "miracle" claims rather exemplify the struggles of apologists for Islam in the modern world; the Qur'an in Islamic Sunni theology holds a lofty position, being co-existant with Allah from the beginning of time, and its production through the lips of Muhammad, the illiterate prophet, is held as the greatest miracle of Muhammad and the proof of his prophethood.

I’ve been fasting based on the argument posted In this video series... it got me curious to look up lunar calendars and I was surprised to learn that the Jews also use a lunar calendar and have a leap month to correct to keep the seasons in place... on average the fast has been 11-12hours which is super reasonable and the fasting hours are within a 30mins or so difference between the southern US and the Gulf. today mashallah is the last day and tomorrow is the real Eid El Fitr

    for world affairs, we can use the solar calendar. for religious matters we can use the lunar calendar. that's what we've been using in Java, Indonesia since 400 years ago. we have separate calendars:
    1. lunar calendar, we call it "Javanese calendar", this calendar has a close relationship with the Hijri calendar. we use it to determine the time of religious rituals
    2. The solar calendar, we call it "Pranatamangsa", we use it to determine planting and harvesting times, because we are an agrarian society.
    but some community groups also use another calendar which we call "Pawukon", usually used to determine good days and bad days, also sometimes used to predict fate.

      My dear brother
      Regarding your question about salat and how this form came to us. When you start to contemplate the Quran, you start to understand that the act of Salat, which is prayer, is not a goal in and of itself, but it’s a means to a greater end:
      The Quran says
      “Establish Prayer for My remembrance” [Ta-ha : 14]
      Salat means, literally, to establish a connection.
      When you do salat, you are establishing a connection with the Source of everything.
      You Establish this connection to remember
      Remember something in your very being
      Where you came from
      And you perform this spiritual/physical because we are spirits living in a physical realm.
      Now this physical realm requires that salat has a physical form.
      How do we know this form?

      You combine verses of the Quran that talk about the form with what is called the practice of the Prophet that came to us by being seen, rather than text description.
      In the Quran you fine the following forms in prayer:
      Standing up-straight قائما
      Prostrating راكعاً
      Kneeling ساجداً
      In the form that came to us generation after generation in what is known as salat today, we see the same forms except that some added the act of putting one hand over another, which was introduced later in Islam. That is why when you look at the Prophet’s offspring (the Ahlul Bayt), they made it clear that you should stand up-straight with both hands to your side.
      And with regards to what is said during the prayer, it is a mix of supplications and Quran. I know you may ask: can we be sure what we got is the truth?
      The best source is to get it from the line of the Prophet’s family. When you do that, you get closer to the actual form. But overall, the difference is not huge. Why? Because the act of prayer is not based on any hadith, it is based on eye witnesses and practical learning of the act.
      Insha’Allah I will talk about it more, but I hope this helps for now. Do keep that connection with your creator dear brother Ahmed and never let go of it. 💚

    There is another brother with the channel called Mark Brustman that argues that the calendar should be observational and not based on an algorithms. He argue against tabular calendars, which use algorithms to add leap months and eventually go out of alignment with seasons. These calendars introduce too many leap months, leading to seasonal drift. He propose that the Prophet Muhammad’s calendar was observational, using the solar and lunar cycles to determine leap years. Key points:
    The calendar involved observing the sun's position post-equinox and counting days until the next evening crescent. A leap month was added if there were 11 or fewer daylight periods between the equinox and the next crescent. The leap month was likely always a second Safar. The timing of Ramadan was linked to observing the equinox sunrise in the last ten days of Ramadan to determine if a leap month was needed.
    He argue that Ramadan should always contain the equinox to balance fasting lengths between the northern and southern hemispheres. The current tabular approach may lead to significant variations in fasting lengths between hemispheres.
    So in his calendar, Ramadan start in September this year which contains the fall equinox. Any thoughts on this?

    • @knowthetruth935
      @knowthetruth935  3 дня назад

      This corrected calendar is not based on algorithms. It is an observational calendar but since the observations can be predicted accurately nowadays, we can determine accurately the lunar cycle start points.
      One needs to be careful when stipulating a premise to build things upon. For example: The premise that Ramadan "has to include the equinox" is not a valid premise to build the foundation on. Why? Because the goal of this research is to use the calendar the way it was during the life of the Prophet Mohammed pbuh without adding our own ideas of what should or should not be.
      The calendar that Wisam el Din Ishaq built took into consideration historical dates that were observed during early Islam to determine the coordinates of the lunar month.
      What does that mean? For example, the battle of Yarmook which took place between Muslims and Romans (while the leap month was still active) was documented by Romans as well. Muslims documented it in Rajab, Romans documented it in August. Thus this is one of the coordinates. If Rajab coincides roughly with August, then it is impossible for Ramadan to start in early September. Ramadan will oscillate between mid-September and Early October. The crescent moon of Ramadan is always the closest moon birth to the equinox.
      I hope this explains it. In summary: Whenever I hear someone build on the premise of "Ramadan has to contain the equinox" and not factor in historical data, then I can't take that as accurate. The goal is to return the calendar to the way it was, not build a new one with new rules that we make up.
      The even days of fasting is a natural result of returning the the original calendar and not the end goal in and of itself.

      Sorry for my late reply.
      1- Ramadan for this year 2023 will be on the new moon that will be born on the 21st of September 2023.
      2- How can you know the moon is born: You can see when Muslims in any country declare a new hijri month has started by sighting the moon. Keep in mind we are all following the same moon. The only difference is that when we follow the corrected calendar, the name of the month will be different. For example: Muslims think that the 22nd of March 2023 is the beginning of Ramadan. But according to the corrected calendar, the 22dn of March is the beginning of the blessed month of Rabi-al-awwal (Spring).. which fits the actual season.

    Salaam.
    I did some research and math to calculate how much the ca 6 hours are. And this is my result:
    According to Nasa "the true length of a year on Earth is 365.2422 days, or about 365.25 days."
    So let's say it's 365.2422 (which seems to be the more exact measurement). So this is how we calculate how many hours, miniutes, seconds, deciseconds and centiseconds 0.2422 days are:
    So here's my calculation:
    0.2422 × 24 = 5.8128 hours
    0.8128 × 60 = 48.768 minutes
    0.768 × 60 = 46.08 seconds
    0.08 × 60 = 4.8 deciseconds
    0.8 × 60 = 48 centiseconds
    So accordingly,
    1 solar year is exactly:
    365 days
    5 hours
    48 minutes
    46 seconds
    4 deciseconds
    48 centiseconds

    Well presented. But, how come there is no new version of the Hijri Calander?, by the way, mate, it would be great if you have your own FB page because the one you mentioned is not well presented.
    So if Ramadan is on the 18th of September 2020, then the last date should be on the 17th of October
    Based on the lunar app called Lunescope 17th of Sep. is a new Moon, till 16th of October assuming that Ramadan should be always 30 days.
    Some other calendars are pointing that Ramadan is going to be on the 18th of October 2020!
    Further research needed, and a major collaboration between thinkers, scholars, researchers must happen.

    • @knowthetruth935
      @knowthetruth935  4 года назад

      Thank you, Medo for your comment. Indeed more research is needed. This is a grave subject and my hope is that it will eventually be picked up by decision-makers.
      Regarding your point about the start of the month: I prefer to go by visually seeing the new moon, and there are apps that actually help in that. For example, on the 18th of September, I found that it was impossible to see the crescent moon in the middle east, thus I fasted on the next day. While in the far West, they were able to see it.
      The older corrected calendar did have the leap month added in September, thus Ramadan was marked to come in October. But Wisam El-Deen, the researcher who worked on that calendar found that there needs to be a correction on the location of the leap month after consulting with other researchers who pointed out to him that the older calendar will accumulate a mistake after a few thousands of years. He posted a video explaining it.
      I will speak to him so the updated calendar is released.

    1) 22nd of Ramadan 2024 is missing, that makes 29 days not 30.
    2) 29th of Safar al-awwal 2022 has to be the 26th.
    3) The translation of (جمادى الآخرة) has to be Djoemada al-thani and not Rabi' al-thani 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
    Questions:
    1)For 2021, 2022 and 2023 I can count 365 days, but for 2024 I count 366 days. Why? Is this beacuse of the added 'Leap Year Day' of the Gregorian kalender: 29th februari 2024?

    Assalam Alaikum. It would be worth taking for a weighty argument and the fact of the changing "Friday", which similarly circles the lunar calendar.

      True , I have heard about this topic , the Real Fridays correspond in fact at the 4 phases of the moon which occurs every 7 days. It is another delicate subject but so important that deserves to be clarified and exposed .

    The only thing which was unclear to me In the sight of Islam. I’m living close northern hemisphere and Ramadan being 20+ hours is illogical. Thanks for clarifications and hope we add back the leap month soon.

    Does that mean Eid al Adha is supposed to be on 26th December? Since the time between the two Eid should be two months and 10 days.

    Salam,
    You mentioned manāzila in 10:5 is traditionally translated as phase, but the real meaning is the place of the moon among the constellation of the sky/stars.
    If you can also explain the same word used manāzila in verse 36:39, or if you can explain verse 36:39 with regard to manazilla.
    Thank you in advance and Salam

    • @knowthetruth935
      @knowthetruth935  Год назад

      The root word of "manāzil" is "ne-ze-la". It means "a place where something came into".
      That's why the word "Manzil" also means "a house where people are living". It also means "status"

    Can you tell me why this year we fast on 4th Octobre? And not in September? Should it be the first full moon before or after the autumn equinox ?

    • @knowthetruth935
      @knowthetruth935  16 дней назад +1

      This is the first moon after the autumn equinox.
      The autumn equinox was 24 days ago.
      Next year Ramadan will go back 11 days, then another 11 days in 2026 and then the leap month will kick in and push Ramadan back into October and so on.
      There is a very detailed calendar that has been worked on by more than one person according to historical considerations and accurate calculations to determine how the calendar was in terms of the coordinates of the hijri lunar months in the time of the Prophet Mohammed pbuh.

    Obviously that's the wrong date. So on the real Hijri Calendar, when did the battle of Kerbala take place? Jazak Allah

      Why or when did the 11days fall away ....

    • @knowthetruth935
      @knowthetruth935  3 года назад

      At some point in time, after the Prophet pbuh passed away they stopped adding the leap month.
      Why: That's the big question. Was it a later introduced wrong reading of the verse? Was a well planned effort to derail the calendar? There are researchers who wrote about this.
      When: Most likely once the Umayyad dynasty took over. This dynasty is one that did grave damage to Islam. It attacked the Kaaba and hit it with a Catapult and desecrated Madina at one point. So anything can be expected from them. But what is important to us is this: To know that the leap month was left intact during the life of the Prophet pbuh.

    The names of the months used in the Hijri calendar have been around for a long time among the Quraysh at the time of prophethood. But Allah's decree eliminates the practice of intercalation (Nasi'). This practice allowed the Quraysh to add a 13th month or rather extend a certain month for 2 months every 3 years so that the qomariyah months are in harmony with the rotation of the seasons or the sun.
    Because of that, the meaning of the names of the months in the qomariyah calendar used by the Arabs some of them indicate the conditions of the seasons. For example, Rabi'ul Awal which means the first spring. Ramadan means summer.
    The Quraysh at that time often abused the practice of nasi' with the aim of making a profit by the presence of pilgrims in the same season of the year where they could take greater commercial profits. As a result, this causes the number of months to be unclear. Until then, the word of Allah (SWT) came down which forbade the practice.
    "Indeed the number of months with Allah is twelve months, in Allah's decree when He created the heavens and the earth, of which four are forbidden months..." (Surah At-Taubah Verse 36)

      Is the Quran mentioning how people played with the calendar in order to abuse/cheat, or how people did reasonable calendar corrections? From my understanding, it is about people playing with the calendar and the forbidden months.

    I have a question please answer this ASAP if you can.
    it says we should observe Ramadan basically in Autumn.
    In our autumn it might be summer or winter in another country.
    Seeing as the month wil be the same time due to the calender how does that work then?

    • @knowthetruth935
      @knowthetruth935  7 месяцев назад +1

      The Arab months were obviously made for the Northern Hemisphere because that's where the Arabs lived. But in terms of Ramadan, it won't make a difference because when it is observed in its correct time, it will be in the fall equinox for the Northern hemisphere and in the Spring equinox in the southern hemisphere. What does that mean? It means that someone fasting in Sweden (Autumn time) will fast for 12 hours and at the same time, someone fasting in Australia (Spring time) will also fast for 12 hours. All of the Earth will fast equal times when Ramadan is observed in its correct time at the same time.
