That was an excellent comparison. They all sound great. Those Avedis hats sound like the perfect set of hats for just about any gig, and both of the 20s sound like you could use them for just about anything.

They should have renamed the Kerope to Zildjian Dark Butter

Kerope is by far the warmest and smoothest of these series, and the Smokey darkness is the icing on the cake

The A’s seem to have a better range of tone and sensitivity. The Keropes clearly darker, not necessarily thinner, but seem limited. I scored an A 21” Sweet ride a while back, and I never wanted for a washy K again. It’s the perfect voice for many styles. Played lightly it’s low and throaty, a quick whack and it opens with a wash of range. That’s why how Zildjians remain the top choice, range and musicality. Everything sounds flat compared. Bosphorus comes closer than others.

Having owned a pair of 59’ K. Zildjian hats. The Keropes sound nothing like them.

the Avedis A's sound wayyy better in person, and the way they're played changes everything. In rock music I think avedis a's are an absolute dream

Love both sets but its that Avedis A Ride 22" that takes the cake in my opinion! Just a lovely sound and tone, great wash and just the right pitch!

Avedis hats are simply wonderful, not so keen on the rest of the range though. I have the 15" Kerope hats and love them, with an 18" Kerope the next on my hit list (boom! Boom!) Another excellent video to help us decide, thank you

I have the Avedis over Quick Beat hats and love them, but I think a Kerope 15" is on the list for me!

"K"'s always sound like rain to me. I prefer the vintage Avedis (pre- "A-Series") in lighter weights for soft jazz. I have a set of vintage Avedis hi hats, one 1960's thin and one 1980's New Beats, which are both dark and I mix & match for volume needs.

Kerope’s speak to me far more, however I’ve heard some beautiful Avedis cymbals in person.
