Apparently, 1 in 3 young adults will experience an unhealthy relationship; this stat is only in the U.S and doesn't even account for older adults. 1 in 3 is pretty large meaning unhealthy relationships are more common than you think. Perhaps you're just the exception and should consider yourself lucky. In 2023 survey, it was found that 70% of relationships don't even last past the first year. As bad as that sounds, that's probably healthier than being with someone toxic.

Miss star you’re giving Bad advice by saying you shouldn’t ask your partner if it’s ok to go out. I’ve been married 12 years and my wife and I still ask each other if it’s ok to go out somewhere. It’s called common respect. You just can’t go everywhere you please without asking your partner. If you want to do otherwise than be single.
I agree with you greatly. However, the wording can be troubling. I look at it as my husband and I don't need permission to go out or do anything. Neither of us are children. But we are a team and work together. I used to tell my children when they were young, that you have to do what I or your father asks you to do. I don't have to do it, I CHOOSE TO DO IT.
