I hope Argylle is good. But it’s looking a little strange that Apple films have not announced them putting their movies on dvd or blu-Ray yet. Like it seems like a mistake to not have killers of the flower moon & napoleon on dvd. I get that it’s apple & they’re new to this & they aren’t the same as other movie companies. But if your movie is in theaters then it’s supposed to go to dvd after it finishes in theaters like every other movie company does even Indy films. Killers of the flower moon already didn’t do that well in theaters until awards month came despite it’s budget nor did napoleon. So if Argylle bombs as well then they’re going to fail to make its money back & will not make a profit out of any of their movies & will likely give up the theaters strategy & will put their movies directly on Apple TV following this.
Guy Ritchie has been doing these kind of action flicks with this British sense of humor for a long time, his roots really, and they were his best films. Feels a bit disingenuous to call it a Kingsman ripoff when I'd say Kingsman benefitted greatly from Lock Stock and Snatch coming before it.
Might be interesting to know why do certain people say he's "difficult to work with". AFAIK, in The Witcher, he wanted to follow the source material more closely, and the others didn't want to do it.
This happened in real life. The book this is based is just crazy. In fact the person Cavill is playing died on these missions. I think that Cavill is aligning with a lot of British directors who direct action movies.

Grace nailed it perfectly. This is Inglorious Basterds meets The Kinsmen. But I loved both of those movies and I like this cast. So it is a go see for me

The first major SOE operation of the war where they secretl infiltrated a spanish port and stole 3 german and italian freighters that had been used by the kriegsmarine to coordinate submarine attacks in the atlantic. It was an omnishambles that turned out perfectly. Alan Shepherd, with the bow, is probably playing a version of Jack Churchill, who wasn't there, who went into battle with a longbow and a claymore and deserves his own trilogy.
