I personally think Wemby could and will go down as the GOAT. But that won’t happen until he has a go-to move or two, down low. Even curry was devastating with his floater game and layup package. Wemby needs to have guaranteed down low buckets, so that when he struggles, he still drops 30 AND so that it increases the chance of his 3 pointer getting hot when defenders start to sag off and fear the interior scoring. Right now, Wemby’s interior game offensively is flat out letting him down, especially for the easy types of buckets his height could get him just with an easy hook or balanced fade
I totally agree. I want to see him succeed, but watching him the past few days he looks like a below average offensive player. He doesn’t have a quick first step or a go to move and can’t seem to get past strong defenders. He’ll be an all time defensive player, but he really needs to work on his game to be an all time offensive player.

@ I never said he should STOP shooting 3’s or score from the perimeter. I said he needs to INCORPORATE at least one consistent post move that he can use to score easy points in the paint. We can’t praise his perimeter skills when he goes off, and then go silent when he bricks a ton of perimeter shots and the Spurs lose.

Yeah, the bench is shaky once you get to the 7th or 8th guy. As they climb up the ladder, they need another talent at point guard, and Chris Paul is too old to play 30 plus minutes. One more scoring wing and a top-level shooter/scorer is needed now. Next year is really the timetable they're looking at to make the serious jump to a contender. They have a bunch of draft picks, so they could land someone as trade deadline arrives in another month. Wemby is ahead of schedule, but he's got some other young guys around him. You frontrunner types are freaking out for no reason. Typical sunshine fans...
The spurs can fix that the bench should be PG Tre Jones SG Julien Champagnie SF Harrison Barnes PF Keldon Johnson and C Charles Bassey is a small line up from the bench but it could work.
