Really fantastic video. I got everything I needed to get set up with this new IDE - having been used to using T-SQL via Microsoft's SQL Workbench - in 7-8 minutes (on 2x speed) and it was extremely clear and to the point. Thanks very much

Is it possible to connect with any other databases like oracle or mysql with pgAdmin ?
I don't think so, as it's designed for Postgres and comes with the Postgres database. I couldn't see anything about it with a quick Google search, but it doesn't mean it's not possible.
Can you not see data in your tables as a table and have the ability to click a cell and change the data like that? Does viewing and modifying data in the tables require you to write a sql query, or can you click and change it in some other view?
I don't think you can do that in pgAdmin. You can in some other editors, but I don't know about pgAdmin. You'll have to write an SQL query.
is there an advanced version, where we are shown how to use this fast and with shortcuts ?
I don’t have a video on this, but that’s a great idea so I’ll create one in the future.
very nice
Thanks!
It helps boss👍
Good to hear!
Hello, when I click on Save, after filling in the Host and password fields, I get this error message:
`Unable to connect to server: connection to server at "localhost", port 5432 failed: FATAL: role "postgres" does not exist`
What should I do?
Thank you in advance.
Oh that’s odd. Is Postgres running on your computer? If it is you may need to google for this error.
i messed up the browser and tree control the ribbon for object in empty what the problem there?
I’m not sure. Are you connected to a database? Do you see anything in the list?
The volume could be louder. Thank you for the effort
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind for future videos.
In my pgadmin data type length is not shown ......How can I see the datatype length like (VARCHAR(30)) along with attribute name in table.......
Oh I'm not sure, it usually displays by default for me.
Thanks a lot for this one , but i have an issue. How can i get the password of maintenance database ?
Glad you like it! What do you mean, get the password of maintenance database?
Please I need ur assistance urgently, my PostgreSQL refused to open after Mac update, I have uninstalled and reinstalled still not working
Are you getting any errors when attempting to run Postgres? Did you install it using the package, homebrew, docker, or something else?
i do not have servers on my pc then how should i install this?
Ah then I think you’ll need to install Postgres first. You can do this from the Postgres website.
why is it when I type inside the parenthesis the next letter will be typed outisde of it
Oh I'm not sure, perhaps it's an issue with pgAdmin
Hey, pgadmin has a web version?
I don’t know if they do
What is the PostGre Server? you didn't mention anything about it.
That is another name for the Postgres database that is running.
what should i do if it doesnt ask me to set up a master password when i open it?? how can i set it up????
Oh I'm not sure, I've always been asked to provide a master password when I install it.
@@DatabaseStarSame problem happen with me too. It doesn't ask for a password
great video, audio is very quiet though
Thanks! Yeah some of the older videos like this one had lower audio, and I've aimed to improve it in recent videos.
When I create a table on my Mac, pgadmin doesn’t show me my table on the left side can someone help me please
Could you click the refresh button (or right click on the database and select Refresh)? Does that work?
@@DatabaseStar yes when I refresh nothing happens. I really don’t understand what the problem is.
Is there a part 2?
Not specifically a part 2 video, but I have plans to make a more advanced pgAdmin video soon.
Unable to connect to server: connection to server at "localhost" (:1), port 5432 failed: Connection refused (0x00002740/10061) Is the
Error 😞😢
server running on that host and accepting TCP/IP connections? connection to server at "localhost" (127.0.0.1), port 5432 failed Connection refused (0x00002740/10061) Is the server running on that host and accepting TCP/IP connections?
Do you have Postgres running on your computer?
it didnt ask me to set a master password i dont know why
Oh that's strange, I think another commenter said the same thing too.
how to delete the adminstartor user in pgadmin
I’m not sure how to do that. Why would you want to delete it though?
How to use Scratch Pad?
I haven’t used it very much but I think it’s helpful as a temporary place for storing text
Mine didn’t request for password and I can’t set up 😊
Oh that’s odd. Might be something you’ll have to Google
Pg admin not asking master password how to fix this?
Oh I’m not sure. Maybe there’s a config setting that can be changed.
Its showing unable to connect?
Do you have Postgres installed? Do you know if it is running?
@@DatabaseStar thank u, finally done.🙏
ok
Thanks!
what is the password?
It's the password you set when you created your Postgres database, which is not handled by pgAdmin.
Thank you
You’re welcome
