If you’re not a game dev already, you should consider it. The detail and professionalism of your mods is astounding. I realize you don’t do all the work on these projects, but you seem like an extremely capable project lead.
Stellar work from concept thru support, the next step is two fold, a IP to form the basis of a game and second an engine to develop on. Actually create a compelling settlement interaction, every time I think I am out....
King gath please help me I downloaded the sim settlements mod and when i go to the settlement workshop i do not see a special tab and how do i make a plot
Great video again. I have a doubt I used the city plan in Red Rocket and my food is 0 (Zero). The dynamic needs is "on".. so I know it has something to do with that. My question, since I used city plan do I have to craft some food plots or something or the city will do all that for me?
In the base game settlement attacks I believe were triggered by having too much food & water in your workbench, is that still so with SS installed or have you modified it in some way?
Hey Kinggath love your mod. I have 2 questions. I have built sanctuary on my own without city plan, but want to use Preston’s leader traits for minuteman. Can I use them somehow on the city planner without scrapping all my hard work? And in hangman’s alley I have 100% in the city plan plague but still city level 0, how do I upgrade it? Is the scrap percentage on the top of the supply option what I need to fill? It’s always 0% and when I donate junk they give it back.
This is a really stupid question but I have downloaded the 3in 1 mod and hud framework, my needs bars show up, but the icons are off the screen and I don’t know how to fix it, any ideas?
@@kinggath You are a god among modders, not only for coming up with the single greatest mod for any game ever (and that is also to all the hardworking member of the sim settlements team), but tfor the fact you reply to even my dumb question....thx Kinggath for everything. Now can you pls fix the Xbox hard mod memory limit so i can have all the settlement mods active, that would be awesome lol.
It depends on which Simsettlements you are using. If you are just using the basic sim settlements you have to place each yourself. If you use Rise of the Commonwealth, there are 3 settings. 1 easy mode, where all you have to worry about is happiness. 2 is medium( I've never paid attention to medium) but I think you have to worry about water, food and happiness and choose what a plot upgrades to. And 3 which you pretty much micro manage the settlement.
That's Awsome! kinggath have you looked at SarDeliac's builds? He's a mad genius when it comes to lore friendly builds. We're talking a guy that can build junk walls from scratch, even "compound" walls which are three piece miniwalls made from glitching together rails. He's Highly recommended. Sorry, I don't know how else to tell you about someone.🤓
You should really make your own indie game. The sim settlement is great but it simply doesn't fit with the FO4 gameplay loop. You build and manage the settlement and the minute you start doing actual FO4 stuff, it's like stepping into another game.
My problem is, when I play FO4, doing sim settlement kinda get in the way. When I play sim settlement, there's no reason to play FO4 itself. Sim settlement is wonderful but it also feels so standalone it exist almost completely separate to the core game loop. That's partly Bethesda's fault because the original settlement system was tacked haphazardly onto a shooter. Now that kinggath added so much to the settlement side of things, it overshadows the shooting and the latter doesn't really feed back into the former.
@@SQW0 You need to scavenge for scrap right? That's what the rest of the world is for. Those quests are for unlocking more settlements. Sim Settlements is more like the core game and vanilla is more like side quests to me.
Because it is too good for FO4. The blandness of FO4 actually, to me, makes things worse as you went from this dynamic, growing community into a brown landscape where you are a GOD dealing death and destruction with no consequences.
Well the problems are, that the person won’t go in it and there wouldn’t be inside decoration, also, it doesn’t auto assign even though I have it on. And some places won’t let me connect power to it.
Kinggath Merry Christmas to you and all the SIM Settlements team and to your families. 🎄😊

Thanks this explains a lot of what I was confused about, even though I am using the Settlements 2 version that doesn't come with plagues on the plots
When a mod is so great, that it has a YT tutorial series...
I got the 999 just last night, lucky I clicked on this video first. Thanks!
thanks for the help kinggath! its been good!
Aw i thought I was acing my water and defence! I better get this hud thing so I can actually not kill my settlers.

It still works that way.

Yeah, you can use a leader and say no to the city plan teardown.
Per Hangman's, try refreshing the city to see if that gets it unstuck.

Head into the holotape, there are hud settings you can tweak the scale and position.

how does dynamic needs work with leader and rise of the common wealth
Can you pick what they Farm? Because the only thing that really matters in farming is corn mutfruit and tato's.
@uituit bakerhey bro do you use a asam sensor for the settlement and where can you find them
So do I build the needs myself or give the settlement more supplies? Or both?

But that is the point of a mod right? to give a game different capabilities that increase replay value.
