I don't think enough people are talking about the absolutely outstanding voice acting performance in this scene; his excitement really brings Megumi to life. Yuuma Uchida is VERY quickly becoming one of my favorite VA's.
His power is -restrained- -controlled- -limited- *restricted* by the excessive amount of discipline and logic his conscious self imposes. So letting go of the reins actually allows him to channel it better by making it "move freely, like water".
At one point when Megumi was using the technique he was about to use on Sukuna he said “sacred treasure”. Also remember Sukuna’s pact with his vessel. He’s allowed to take control once for a certain amount of time but agreed to not hurt anyone which was really out of character. This leads me to believe that he’s waiting for Megumi to use this “sacred treasure” and then steal it.
As an introvert, this scene really spoke to me. Be greedy sometimes. Let your weird side out sometimes. And you just might surpass your limits. Anime stays filled with life lessons.
I think it relates more to the jungian concept of Shadow, megumi said "I was finally able to spit out my shadow" to let all the ugliness and darkness within him to fully emerge and be exploited in a useful manner, to stop repressing himself.

They weren't kidding, Jujutsu sorcerors be losing their mind sometimes, Megumi laughing was a complete 180 to what we're used to, not to mention that he's throwing hands in his domain, 100/10 episode!!

Megumi made some crazy gains he's pretty much a semi grade 1 to possibly grade 1 sorceror right now. Yuuji made even more gains from a possible grade 3/2 sorceror to the level of a semi grade 1 as well.

So I think the way Megumi's Domain Expansion works is that since he normally has the power to summon and dismiss creatures, if he's inside of his circle the entire Domain is technically one giant creature that he details and specifies to his desire.

I’ve always liked Megumi, but it was mostly his design, abilities, and attitude. After this arc, I’m officially sold on him as a character. He just might be my favorite of the bunch, which is tough because I also love Itadori.

Yah, I was surprised whe I found out that he was the VA for Megumi, considering the last I heard his voice as Iori from Grand Blue. Now I really want him to voice Denji from Chainsaw man.

So I think the way Megumi's Domain Expansion works is that since he normally has the power to summon and dismiss creatures, if he's inside of his circle the entire Domain is technically one giant creature that he details and specifies to his desire.
Yupp i think so too, he is also part of shadow I think aswell. So he can move freely throughout it.

I’ve always liked Megumi, but it was mostly his design, abilities, and attitude. After this arc, I’m officially sold on him as a character. He just might be my favorite of the bunch, which is tough because I also love Itadori.

IIRC, there was one guy who Megumi beat because he had a barrier that specifically nullified the guaranteed hit of a complete domain, which did nothing vs. Megumi's incomplete domain, but that guy was using a weird technique from centuries ago, that died out to better techniques like simple barrier, which would be effective vs. Megumi's incomplete domain.
