    I used the queue in 2010, 2011 and watched big names on the centre court. I thoroughly enjoyed learning how debentures work. Thank you!!

      Thanks, Anil! I'm definitely signing up for the ballot this year, but I would absolutely queue again in 2024. It had been a while since I watched tennis (on tv) and being at Wimbledon in the flesh certainly helped rekindle my interest.

    I did the ballot last year and didn't get anything but I was able to purchase a returned ticket after the ballot was completed (I think only available to people who had entered the ballot). I got a centre court ticket for middle monday. As a massive tennis fan it was one of the best experiences of my life.

    Always an education to listen to you, Preet. Glad you made it in after 7 hrs. Probably something I'll never do, but like you used to watch the final Grand Slams religiously. Was a huge Stefi Graff fan (showing my age), and well, without the rivalry between Fed and Nadal I've turned to other things. How all is well.

      I was an Ivan Lendl fan! (As well as Graff). I went solo but my wife says she will join me next year so that will certainly help pass the time. Plus I would definitely bring a tiny folding chair or towel to lie on lol

    i got “second hand” tickets last year…if you register to the ballot and don’t win it, you get notified when all tickets are assigned…anyhow you can try to get return ticket but you must be very fast…i spent hours and hours of the website but i made it ❤

    Can you please guide me for tickets of men finals how exactly do final day match ticket works
    THANK YOU FOR THIS SUPERB EXPLANATION

    • @PreetBanerjee
      @PreetBanerjee  2 месяца назад

      Thank you! For the last four days, you can't get the 500 tickets normally available for Centre Court by lining up in the queue. So it looks like the only way to get last minute tickets for the final is to pay the very high prices of either a debenture seller or a company that sells hospitality experiences (which will be even more).

      100% recommend! If you don’t get a ballot ticket, bring something to read or lots of podcasts queued up. And maybe wear something that you could sit in directly on the ground. (It’s not all grass in the park with so many people shuffling around.) I’m still waiting to see if I win a ballot entry but if not I’m most likely still going to go again this year 😊

    what if we are there only during the last four days of the tournament? can we still wait in The Que?

    • @PreetBanerjee
      @PreetBanerjee  3 месяца назад

      You can still wait in the queue, but tickets to Centre court won’t be available. You could still get tickets to the other show courts (if you are early enough which likely requires camping out as those tickets are limited), but grounds access is available and lots of people watch the giant screens and enjoy the energy of the grounds.

    Nah that's not true regarding the ballot mate. My wife and I 'won' at the ballot and on the day they opened up to ballot winners for ticket purchasing, we got to choose our day. We chose women's final on centre court.

      @PreetBanerjee  Год назад +1

      What year was that? Perhaps they recently changed the process? See here from the official Wimbledon site: www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/atoz/ballot.html

      @danthealien8360 Год назад

      @PreetBanerjee maybe changed then, yeah. 2023, this year - I got an email earlier in the year to say that I'd been successful and then I was granted access to the ticketing website on a particular day and I got to choose the day/court. I could swear I had mens final tickets in my basket but website had a problem and I lost them. Selected women's finals instead. Tickets were 260ish each (we were allowed a max of 2). In any case, your video was really helpful - I've been trying to wrap my head around how Debenture works for ages, you explained it nice and simply.

      @@danthealien8360 Fingers crossed I win a ballot pair, but if not I’ll queue up again as my wife wanted to go this year but couldn’t get off work. Waiting in line with her will make the time go by much more quickly. Would love to get tickets to a final - that must be an epic experience.
