Everybody gangsta til the opposition says "ROYALGUARD" I wish you good fortunes on your Dante must Die playthrough. That for me was like putting a real finisher on my whole childhood.
Back in DMC4, the Dante boss fight in that game would be performing a Royal Release, which is a drastically stronger Royal Guard counter than Royal Revenge, the Royal Guard move that DMC5 boss Dante performs against ya. To put into perspective, a single Royal Release Guard counter would’ve destroyed at least half your health bar on normal difficulty, and would sometimes straight up instant kill you on the higher difficulties. Imagine just how much harder this boss fight could get if the DMC5 Dante boss was like that with Dante’s RG on top of dealing with Dante’s DMC5 arsenal and SDT.
See. That's how Vergil was meant to be played. No need to be aggressive. Judgement Cuts are very useful in this. Now you know why Dante is him. BEFORE you do Dante must die here is a warning. Make sure you train effectively as Vergil before going in. NEVER rawdog Dante must die mode. Enter your training arc
Hideki Kamiya was only the director of the first Devil May Cry, and left Capcom to found Platinum Games not too long after. Every DMC after that was directed by Hideaki Itsuno, who recently left Capcom this year. I'm sorry, I don't mean to be the "umm actually" guy. I promise I'm not correcting maliciously.
If you try dante must die, try to use more your trick dodge. I see that mostly to dodge you just ran around, try to dodge, use the differentes types of dodges, air trick all of that, an don't play too aggresively, since dante is like vergil, he has no stun during attacks, unless you parry him, and if you attack blindly you'll just recieve pointless damage, also try to use beowulf ultimate attack, and Sin Devil Trigger, both deal a ton of damage and help a lot, and lf you need healing use world of V, I'd recommend not using doppelganger too much, first refill your sin devil trigger, then use doppelganger, or use both at the same time. Good Luck with Dante must die

As a Bayonetta 1 fan DmC came naturally to me. Dodge Offset helped me craft combos and gave me an understanding for how combos can work.
The song gave him power!!!!! IMPOSSIBLE!!! He found his motivation!!!
