    Dear Omarmanutd:
You said "So how do you know then the prophet promised others Jannah when this isn’t in the Quran?"
See, that's the problem right there. The Prophet (sws) knew only that which was revealed to him to be part of the perfectly preserved Qur'an. Prophet - or anyone else for that matter - cannot promise Jannah to anyone, nor was that promise his mission. Jannah is promised by Allah only for those who shape according to the Qur'an.
Bukhari came about 200 years after the Prophet and he collected stories based on hearsay. That sort of collection cannot never be admissible in any scientific discourse. If Hadith were important, Allah would have preserved it the way He preserved the Qur'an. In fact, the word "hadith' has been used by Allah ONLY for the Qur'an (39:23, 45:6 etc), not in the context of the sayings of the Prophet.
The verse 54:1 does not say that the Prophet Muhammad "performed " this miracle for the unbelievers. It just says "Moon split and the Day of Judgment is near". Many commentators (like Maulana Maududi, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Asad etc do not believe that the splitting of the moon in 54:1 was some kind of miracle performed by the Prophet (sws). In fact, the Qur'an informs us that the kuffar/mushrikeen DEMANDED miracles from the Prophet (sws), but Allah told him in the Qur'an to make clear to them that his job was no more than acting as a Bashir and Nadhir for mankind. I hope this helps.

Assalamu alaikum brother! Did you said ``The Prophet (sws) knew only that which was revealed to him to be part of the perfectly preserved Qur'an.`` IF SO THEN HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT by example FAJR IS 2 RAKATS, ZUHR 4 RAKATS etc... BECAUSE THIS IS NOT IN THE QUR`AN ALSO...ISN'T IT? PLEASE THINK ABOUT YOUR SAYINGS BEFORE CRITICIZING THOSE THAT ARE TRYING TO BE CLOSER TO ALLAH.
