I appreciate everyone thats joined the channel, subscribed, comments, likes the videos, I'm going to keep pushing through all this, and figure out a way forward for everything. I am still going to be dropping 2 videos a week, investing MAY have to be paused with any additional funds, but I plan to continue right back at it once this passes.
Things happen the way they do because it's training for what's next. Shit doesn't get easier, you just get better at handling and preventing things. The only direction is forward
Thank you, I appreciate it. Gonna put my head down and keep pushing forward.
I feel your pain man. I recently just got my pay check. I immediately had to turn around and drop a rack on fixing my car. Probably going to have to pick up some OT, so i can get more skin in the game. You got this man
Also was going to say i appreciate you telling your story, because i feel like this is honestly a more accurate picture of people investing in America these days. There’s always curveballs that life throws at us. It affects us normies so much more than the rich people who have consultants or anything like that.
@@marcusc2644 just gotta dust yourself off and jump back on. I got almost 30 hours worth of OT scheduled for next week. It'll help a lot.
@@TortoiseInvesting what's OT?
@@mprydiilmfao, OT is "overtime", overtime occurs when you work hours past your scheduled 40 hour work week, so for every hour over 40 hours, you get paid ×1.5 your hourly rate, so if you make $20 per hour you multiple that by 1.5 and you get $30 per hour
@@paragonknight3307 Thanks for replying. I am not American, I am a refugee. I came to the USA about 2 years ago. I started investing in the beginning of 2024.
Hope everything gets better, I would recommend getting a second job in sales to pay for everything like repairs and things that come up.
@@buyvcbum I'm not in a position to rock 2 jobs, I make a good hourly rate at my current job
I did this before I started investing and it as a pain in a butt to do so but try to have 1 months income for emergency fund and make a plan to hit 3 months over the course of a year.
I was in the process of building a emergency fund is the worse part. I had full intention of building some side money once these vet bills are out of the way. Big ol curve ball from life though. >_
@@TortoiseInvesting yeah it sucks life will l hit you like that. I waited 6 months before I started investing because I didn’t want to incur taxes if something happens. Keep up making the content I like watching you share your journey. I’m considering starting my own RUclips channel but have been pushing it off for awhile
@@NanoWealthGuy appreciate it! I'm gonna keep trucking on with RUclips and putting out videos for sure.
Hey man, nice to see you. I found your channel a few weeks ago. I now always wait for a new video from you. Just wondering, do you have any more debt at all?
Just the small vet bill thats almost paid off. Besides that debt free, for now, I may have to get another car if this one turns out to have a blown engine though. I'll find out more this weeekend.
@@TortoiseInvesting I recommend you to buy a Honda. I bought my first car this year in March, I still have it. It is 2015 Honda Civic. I went to check it at the Auto Service before buying.
Obviously i dont know the details but it sounds like you have a spending problem. It sounds to me like you have a newer Jeep. Why? Those are incredibly overpriced, historically unreliable vehicles. Do you not have an emergency fund? You need several months of savings before you even think about investing.
Wish you the best brother but sounds like you could benefit from some Dave Ramsey videos. You've had tough luck but if youre living within your means they won't hurt as badly.
Jeep was a used 07, I paid the remainder I had left off and got $2,000 knocked off by doing so. I paid off and closed all my credit cards, I've paid off my medical debt, just a vet bill which is almost paid off. Dave is why I paid off my credit cards and did things the way I have, I use to carry debt and keep it, but I got tired of that. I've never owned anything newer, I always find ways to save and spend less. I was getting ready to start on a emergency fund after my vet bills were done then this happened.
Should’ve bought a BMW
What happened to your hair?
Sorry to hear about your car by the way. Good luck moving forward
shaved it off! and thanks, I'm trying to figure out life, super hard at times
@@TortoiseInvesting I would say invest in yourself, I spent many years in school learning my trade and I’m doing fine now.
@@stevethecheese thats awesome, I appreciate that a ton
