Thank you for being understanding instead of judging, My beautiful cousin was in a very abusive marraige, they had 2 children. She finally got the courage to get out, got divorced and moved on with her life. SEVEN years later he showed up, broke into her home, shot her in the head and the chest in front of their 10 and 12 year old children, Thankfully he did not physically harm them, but they grew up with severe PTSD, they were raised by my aunt and uncle and are both doing well now. My cousin is in heaven, she has grandchildren, and her murderer will never leave Angola Prison, The Louisiana State Pen. but there is and never will be closure, only justice, I wish someone would have done what this song is about to him, she would still be with us, Just a harsh reminder that even leaving does not mean you are safe.
So sorry for your loss. Yes it happens everyday , women leave their abuser and move on with their lives and the whole time the abuser is stewing over it and becomes so consumed by their rage will stop at nothing to find them
“My day of justice would come from a Judge from under a seat”. The Taurus company makes a self defense revolver called the Judge. It fires your choice of .45 Colt or .410 shotgun ammo. Either will end the bad guy’s actions.
"My justice came from a judge(pistol)under a seat." Her justice didn't come from a judge on the seat. The abuser was also wearing a shirt nicknamed "wife beater". There is so much in this song. It goes so deep. Then having the choir sing, a church choir. "Have mercy on me......" And in the end........she drives away in the truck. Still waiting. Thank you for your reaction.
If you've never experienced it you can't really truly devastating how humiliating to have someone actually come along and care enough to help you is an amazing thing we need more men like him
I’m so sorry to hear that…words hurt more than physical oftentimes but simply ask God to erase those parts of your memory and I have found MANY of my trauma and hurts have literally been forgotten, I just can’t remember! Just ask…
Thank you for your reaction to this song. I agree with you about our grandparents day. It was so different than. My father's dad was not a nice man, father or husband. My dad's mom didn't have the option of divorce. At that time if a man wanted a divorce he could just go to the courthouse and a divorce would be granted with no grounds needed. IF a woman wanted a divorce the options were limited to abandonment. As long as he came home once every 24 hours even if it was just 10 minutes then he hadn't abandon his wife and family. So that's what he did for years. If he was home for very long then he was abusive to her and their children. It was so bad that my dad had to drop out of school during the 7th grade to financially support his mom and siblings when though his dad worked. His dad didn't give much money to his wife. That's a whole other form of abuse. So sorry my comment is so long. Blessings to you and your family 😊
Thanks for that... Got 2 more for you to watch,,, #1 Martina Mcbride singing her song "Concrete Angels" music video which is a song written about her 7 year old niece ... (watch all of the video especially towards the end) #2 Randy Travis sing 3 wooden Crosses ( you will want to hear the lyrics at the end of the song to understand the meaning)
Notice he said, he didn't hide his pistol, he didn't run, he waited till the cops got there and he didn't ask the judge, jury or anyone for mercy, he asked God for mercy. Just like Jesus laid down his life on the cross for us.
You know I can't express as a man how much I hate excuse me but these bastards abused women and personally if I ever find myself in this situation I will do exactly what he does and I will not hide from the law when I do if they want to prosecute find that's better then leaving her in that situation I have a lot of respect for law enforcement but when it comes to this issue they are very lacking honestly useless I hate it they need to do a better job protecting abused women and children and yes occasionally A man also because there are women abusers out there and I have no more respect for them than I do for the for the male abusers and God bless Hardy for writing this song I love Hardy and Lainey performance
Lainey Wilson was in Nebraska for Nebraskaland Days. I wish that I would have known? I would have been there. No one seems to pick up on that "thank you" most powerful scene in the vid. It works both ways? My ex used to go to the cops and say that I beat her. they never believed her, she had no bruises, and it did not happen. I didn't find out about that until years later. I could have lost everything. We divorced in 98.
So true! Crying wolf can truly destroy someone but praise God there’s nothing that can stop His plan for people lives if you stick with Him. They may think they are winning until boom! They lost and God WON!
Greater love hath no man than to lay down his life for his friend. That verse doesn’t necessarily mean death, it means that he put her life above his own. He sacrificed his freedom and quality of life to protect her, even though he had never met her before. Maybe he had seen domestic violence before in his own life, but he recognized the signs and made up his mind and heart that he would help her regardless of the personal cost. That’s the pure definition of love and valor. Thanks for the reaction
This song was powerful. A friend once pointed out to me, about an Eagles song, (nothing to do with topic for me) The lyrics were - "So often times it happens, that we live our lives in chains, and we never even know we have the key". That was an eye opener for me. That was soft core compared to this song. Thank you for your reaction.
Judge under his seat🥊! He gave his life for another’s. He’s definitely an angel! And yeah people need to put down their phones, stop recording and TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER! She’s still waiting in the truck at the end! Love that!
It's bad that our justice system let these women down until it gets to this point. And when she says angels don't do what he did, God had his avenging angel with flaming swords. He gave up his freedom so she could have hers.
Check out “In The Blood” by Home Free. Picking at similar emotions, but more of a questioning of , Can I Raise Above, my sad upbringing, and be saved by the waters of being born again?
All country women know what wait in the truck means I have only heard it a couple times in my life and both times it was a man protecting my life it is a very powerful saying to us
I believe in God and I know we r not to do bad things to others, but I lost my little sister to domestic violence 3 years ago, and if I could just have 3 minutes with that person, well I guess I would b the guy in the video!! Ur reaction has been so comforting to me and the reason that is, because of u yourself shows me that there is still a brighter side still left in this world!! Thank u so much!! God bless u and urs ma’am 🙏🏻
I must have watched this video 100 times or more. Many reactions. I put myself in his place and ask myself. What would you do? Every time I say id do the same thing.
An abuser will brainwash you into believing it was your fault. If you would only do things the way it should be done, they wouldn't have to hit you. They will tell you that they are the only person that would accept you. You begin to believe what they are saying. It's not easy to try to leave. You're in fear of being killed if you stay but you know you will be killed if you try to leave. They cut you off from family and friends so you don't think you have anyone you can turn to. It's one heck of a situation. This song brings up many emotions in me.
Thought-provoking song and video... There are absolute truths in this world, even though a lot of folks want everything - including morals - to be relative. Truth: God is the ultimate Judge, and we all fall short by our own actions Truth: We live in a fallen world, and there are broken people (in a myriad of ways) all around us. Truth: Civilized society should ensure safety for the weak against the predations of the strong amongst us. This is a lynchpin of the social contract itself. Truth: Governments are formed and Laws are enacted to help uphold the ideals of civil society. Truth: Laws and the Justice system are imperfect. They are designed to protect everyone in a society, both the strong and the weak -- and the weak too often still suffer the predations of the strong. Truth: Unprovoked violence against someone else is wrong (and illegal). Truth: What is legal and what is right (morally correct) are not always the same. Truth: Acting outside the law often results in penalties of some sort (fines, incarceration, death) Truth: Acting outside a solid moral code can result in penalties (up to and including death). Truth: Violent predators (those who act outside the social contract) should be stopped - and stopping them is likely to require violence. Truth: A man being harmless does not make him good. A good man is capable of great violence, but willingly keeps it under control until violence is the only correct answer. Truth: Trading bondage for bondage (in this case freeing the victim of domestic violence at the cost of killing another person and being incarcerated for it) can be an acceptable outcome for some people/circumstances. To ponder: What would provoke you to initiate physical violence on another person? What serves as a moral mandate to act to help someone else? To help a stranger on a dark road at night, is trading your freedom for a stranger’s an acceptable outcome for you, would you act to secure a different solution, or would you act at all?
I'm glad that you did mention that men are also victims. Women use the idea of them being weaker as a tool to be abusive and push men. Then when the man is attacked and FINNALY tries to defend himself HE's the one getting arrested or investigated for abuse. Abuse from women is very different than from men it's more mental mind games before the physical. But when it does get physical it escalates rapidly and extremely violently. Took me 10 years to learn that lesson. Also sometimes some feel it's all they deserve. That they aren't worthy of anything else, or they have no idea where to turn to for help. That's why they stay in these relationships.
I grew up with a single mom and 2 sisters. I have been the man in the truck. I saw my mom beaten till i didn't know her , i was to young to do anything then but i have interfered 4times with mixed results. But the last time i did . I told my girlfriend to wait in the truck. She told me not to get involved, i told her what if we are the last to see her alive . What if it was your daughter would you not want someone to do something
Wow I’m so sorry to hear that. I can’t imagine the struggle and pain. I’m so glad to know that despite the different responses you still tried and yes there comes a point when you realize you can’t make someone see the way they should but never sit by idle. That guilt would never sit well.
To add to the other comments... he was not bad man, he was not an evil man... he was a man who saw a need, saw an evil and acted on that need and evil. He was a man of faith (evidenced by the court scene bridge (Oh Lord have mercy on me was not asked to the court system... it was a plea to God) and visibly evidenced by the cross hanging on his rear view mirror... was his action legal, obviously not based on the trial, was it morally just.... that is up to each individual for you cannot legislate morality... but for every victim of DV, he would be an answered prayer... and for every man... the story forces the question... "what would I do?"
I tried to save my Sister from her abusive husband offered her a place to stay, she went back although her daughter ended up on my porch one night so I opened my home to her any hour any day 😢
Sad thing is dude went to prison for deleting a criminal who preyed upon, and would continue to prey up more people. Otherwise, he would have been released on no cash bail. That's the generational curse.
I grew up with this I would get between dad and my mom and brothers. I would rather take a beating than watch them get hit. A protective order doesn’t stop a person who wants to hurt someone they are supposed to love. Now she can’t help some more with his. Finding domestic violence normal doesn’t necessarily go father to son. I can follow it from my dad to grandfather, to great grandmother
I love the visual representation in the end that he traded her imprisonment and chains for his own. She was trapped and by freeing her, he imprisoned himself. But it was worth the trade to see her free. This is an extreme occasion but is the perfect representation of what a man is supposed to be for those he cares about, he should be the protector and shoulder the burdens to allow them to shine and be the best version of them.
He was willing to give up his freedom for hers. I will never condone taking a life. I thought he was goinna shoot the A'holes knees out from under him or something. Very deep. Hardy is an amazing writer, producer and singer.
And many many say that he should have driven her to the hospital or the police station but consider this: An adult who carries the emotionally crippling scars of being a child victim of abuse may have tried to flee danger as a kid, only to be returned to the abusive parent time and again by "the system". You might trust the system to protect the girl but an abuse survivor might not. Now can y'all see what that child grown up would be helpless to do anything except take her safety into his top priority?
I agree!!! Unfortunately the system is totally dependent on the case worker your child gets and if they are willing to push and fight and if not the cycle begins!
Also, the system is known to let abusers get back to thier prey, and it almost always escalates til the abused is deceased. And I see Hardy's char was made one of God's (temporary) Avenging Angels
Don’t think about it! I am praying rn for God to give you the strength and wisdom to go and never look back!!! Asking anyone who sees this to do the very same!
1st timer Amazing depth you have. Great reaction, I'll def tune in again. Men who are like deserve EVERY ounce of justice!!!!!!!!!!!. But I am a older guy who has. Not comparing the two. Who has been in & witnessed SO MANY woman that do the same thing. Not physically of course but verbally. Today's woman are ABSOLUTELY abusive. Physically no but the control you know you have and use it,,,, is abuse. It'll take an deep thinking woman,CHRISTIAN, to understand this. Hope ya do. Not defending men at all but not defending YOU abusive woman that ,,, it's just the norm. Chk yourself cause the millisecond you pass away, you'll be on your knees in front of a man....... God
Some people feel the presence of God and his Angels and othera feel forgotten and alone no matter how close they try to get to him. I don't argue peoples beliefs but as the latter It makes me sad when I hear people talk about that presence. Regardless this was a great reaction to this song.
If you are from the deep south like me and you hear wait in the truck... that means the wrath is coming and someone is gonna pay. NEVER EVER HIT A WOMAN. You know you will pay. But pay in the right way
I will be honest... The first time I heard this I cried, because it hits close to home. My stepsister is a abuse survivor. When I saw the night she got away from him what he did to her I almost went to the piece of craps house and beat the crap out of him like he did to her. But I didn't. I thought about the fact that she was free and safe now, so what is the point of me going and doing something that would get me put in jail. Well, fast forward about ten years and I find out that the scumbag is where he belongs, hell, he passed away due to overdose.
New subscriber. I absolutely love your reaction but I'm not going to clink on the like button due to the fact there are 665 likes & I'm not going to be that next one. number
Nah!!! Dude!! Take me to the Police to press charges!!! I want that MF in a cell for as long as possible!!! I don't want some dude I don't know to spend the rest of his "good" life in jail because I was afraid to stand up for myself!!! I was a victim of domestic abuse!!! I WILL NOT BE A VICTIM AGAIN!! You know who got me out of being a victim?? I DID THAT MYSELF!! I had a dream one night that the abusive A-hole went after my kids and kicked his ass to the curb when I woke up!!!! YOU ARE A VICTIM BECAUSE YOU ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE A VICTIM!! If a man lays hands on you.......................Report him!!!! If he's a cop, document that shit!!! Take pictures of the marks he left on you and use that shit in court!! Quit being a victim and stand up for yourself!!! I've learned from my own experience that I allowed myself to be a victim because I was punishing myself. But when I realized what I was doing in the dream, I made the choice to quit being the victim!! It's up to you to decide when to STOP being the victim!!! Don't let some innocent bystander do the time for you!!! That's just my thoughts on this song!!
@@19K3A8 I get that women lose their lives or the lives of the children because they are afraid to stand up for themselves. Some because they are truly afraid, and some because they want someone else to do it for them. Like I said, I was on both sides of the spectrum and I chose to quit being a vidtim. A person who doesn't make that choice wants to be saved which tells me that she is co-dependent and there are programs to help her deal with that as well. Bottom line, there is always help available but it won't matter for women who want to be saved so they can latch on to their savior.
@@denisewelden9568 I agree... even in the video, one could paint the picture that this woman finds another abuser, and Hardy sacrificed his life for nothing. Yes, Hardy should have taken the woman to the police, but when the judicial system fails, the offenders repeat even more horrific actions to same woman or another person. One part of the video's message is the line, " I knew I will never get hit again when he said 'Wait in the truck,'" meaning vigilante justice was removing her from her situation. How is justice served when criminals have more rights than victims?
No way! Gun owner here. There's a zero percentage chance I'm taking a 1st degree murder charge. I feel for your situation, but I'm not sitting in a concrete box for 25 years plus. Especially for a random stranger who's probably gonna end up testifying against you in court. Because half the time they don't want help, and they'll hold it against you. No chance.
Great point you brought up about how people say they want out but go back time and time again and become so attached they hate the people who try to help them…this could have easily backfired! Thanks for your comment….
Pretty sure she was testifying to get him out of prison. Because she was abused and tried to justify the murder because of it being tied in to retaliation to domestic abuse. She’s saying she doesn’t know if he’s an Angel because an Angel stereotypically tried to heal as opposed to Hardy who said he deserves no forgiveness
It’s the 2nd reaction lol the first one I didn’t hear and this one i tried! I was lost for words. this one right here was too much…so deep and I’m a slow processor. Forgive me:)

When your hurting a woman and or a child you made it my business
There should be more people like that i was in an abusive relationship for 39yrs until he passed away
First time I heard this song I had flashbacks but when they sang “have mercy on me”, I cried for things that happened 25 years ago.
The judge under the seat, is a pistol called the judge! Notice as she pulls away from the jail she’s driving his truck!❤
What better gift than to give ones own life so others can live!
That's what you call Southern Justice ya'll. Hardy's friend got 20 year's.

It was not written about her niece. She’s literally debunked that. Stop saying it.
Sometimes angels do, do what he did. Avenging angels. God all throughout the Bible sent angels to right wrongs
Avenging angels. Or the monsters we need in this world.
Notice he said, he didn't hide his pistol, he didn't run, he waited till the cops got there and he didn't ask the judge, jury or anyone for mercy, he asked God for mercy. Just like Jesus laid down his life on the cross for us.

Thank you for bringing that up!
Thank you!!!!
It’s a terrible system we live in! Makes me think of Tom McDonald song “the system” I think it’s called lol but it’s sad
Powerful! Thanks for sharing so empowering to men to hear it doesn’t have to go from father to son.
Yessssss
I really enjoyed your analysis of this song.
I would pray that God could forgive.
He was willing to give up his freedom for hers. I will never
condone taking a life. I thought he was goinna shoot the A'holes
knees out from under him or something. Very deep. Hardy is
an amazing writer, producer and singer.
I was in an abusive marriage got beat up all the time couldn't leave had 9 children to take care of 😢😢
Most women can't get out easily. The majority of women murdered are killed by an ex after they left.
Yup, Been there done that.
Great reaçtion thank you 😊
The Lord also said vengeance is mine. Which is why he ends up in jail.
Biblically sound!
He traded his freedom for hers
Such a sacrifice! A type of Christ!
And many many say that he should have driven her to the hospital or the police station but consider this:
An adult who carries the emotionally crippling scars of being a child victim of abuse may have tried to flee danger as a kid, only to be returned to the abusive parent time and again by "the system".
So many women die by the hands of their abuser so that was justified. If he saw him beat her it would’ve ended differently.
You don’t know how right you are
God bless you. ❤️
I'm trying to get away from the same situation
Don’t think about it! I am praying rn for God to give you the strength and wisdom to go and never look back!!! Asking anyone who sees this to do the very same!
There are also avenging angels that God uses when it’s necessary!
1st timer
Amazing depth you have. God
I was in a dv relationship for 6 years I ended up on a ventilator for 3 months
My now husband is a just wait in the truck guy ❤
Some people feel the presence of God and his Angels and othera feel forgotten and alone no matter how close they try to get to him. I don't argue peoples beliefs but as the latter It makes me sad when I hear people talk about that presence. Regardless this was a great reaction to this song.
I been there! Why do you go to prison? Sometimes bodies are not found. Ku😢say,
If you are from the deep south like me and you hear wait in the truck... that means the wrath is coming and someone is gonna pay.
Nobody who reacts to this notices shes driving his truck 5 years later
I noticed but I guess I never said it! But yes that was powerful!!
Women commit it too.
Absolutely!
DON'T SAY SORRY!
PLEASE 🙏 SPEAK THE TRUTH!
Thanks for this review. Which bible app were you showing?

A guy with his paw on a shotgun would make me shoot too...
❤🎉🎉😂❤🎉

Wowwwww sounds amazing and I remember his voice!!! It is powerful! I will def !
New subscriber. I absolutely love your reaction but I'm not going to clink on the like button due to the fact there are 665 likes & I'm not going to be that next one. number
Lol !!!! I agree!!!!! Lol don’t do it!
ALMOST 20 MIN TO DO A MUSIC REACTION??? I CAN'T
Lol ! Hey sorry it’s deep!
Nah!!!
I feel for you and thank God that you were able to get out .... how many women lose their lives from repeat offenders?
Great song but too many interruptions, imo
So you react to songs you've already heard, maybe why you don't have many subscribers? Don't comprehend the concept of reaction videos?
It’s the 2nd reaction lol the first one I didn’t hear and this one i tried! I was lost for words. this one right here was too much…so deep and I’m a slow processor. Forgive me:)
this is not a reaction at all. you basically said you already listened to it
Hi Clay yes it def wouldve been me staring at the screen! I was literally speechless!
