Thank you for a great video about Chattanooga. We moved to the area about four years ago from south Florida and couldn’t be happier. My wife has some medical issues and we have found the health care he is incredibly good. The doctors we’ve had to deal with really take their time with us and the hospitals are first rate as far as care goes. We are avid hikers and campers and the choices we have no farther than two hours away are amazing.
We're moving to TN this year after my military retirement, we're looking in Chattanooga and Knoxville. In Chattanooga we're looking at Hixson/Middle Valley, and Soddy Daisy (based off some specific criteria) which would you choose? Great video.
Reach out to me so I can get a feel for what exactly you are wanting in an area based on preference. Hixson/Middle Valley have more conveniences compared to Soddy which is more naturesk, but Hixson has a nice park by the water for boating and stuff too, just depends on so many variables.
We would love to live in Chattanooga!! My husband would just need a corporate flying job there. (Pilot) It seems like the perfect place for our family.
Many different areas, Lookout Valley is a good option that has been pointed out. I have one person I helped move here from California and he moved initially to Northern part of Ooltewah and then eventually moved again to Harrison, he has a gravel bike and I see him on Strave every day putting up 50 miles. Ooltewah has some good trails, Signal (the side of it), lookout mountain. Hope that helps.
I've lived on the outside of chattanooga since 2008 and lived in Hixon for a year. Before 2008 I lived in south carolina and kansas. It is a horrible place to live! Theres constant road construction going on in the chattanooga area. Theft has gotten much worse, especially in downtown. Living prices are crazy high! Not lower! And even if you do find lower prices, its most likely in bad neighborhoods and shitty apartments that arent worth it. Buildings are crammed together, so you cant really call it an outdoor city anymore. Me and my family all try to avoid going to chattanooga unless we have no choice. We only go when we have stuff like doctor appointments, and rarely to a movie theater because I dont know any others as close to me. Tennessee is a good state to live in when it comes to the small town/country areas. But definitely not the cities!

Great video looking to move next year with interest in tech! Loved hearing about the high internet speeds and outdoor activities offered.
Nice video, how about public transportation? Could we have a bicycle trip to university neighbors?

Okay I have to know, what community can I live in where I can mountain bike from my house! Thanks for the great info.
I live in Lookout Valley. Raccoon Mountain biking trails are about 10 minutes from my house.

What do you think about the Red Bank area?
Red Bank just had a major increase in their property taxes, so you may want to look into that.
Dream of mine to move to Tennessee! Is it easy to find a job as an accountant in Chattanooga?
Never worked in that area but start looking now or apply to one of the big companies around to work your way into accounting.

Chattanooga
Shhh. Chattown is full. The more housing expansion, the less outdoors.
I’d move here if I could find an internship here
Maybe try being born there before you have an opinion.
People that were born here would actually be entitled to less of an opinion on why people should move here as they haven’t experienced other options.
These are the people we don’t want.
