This is my first RC construction vehicle and there is no better place to start off with the cheap but very feature packed RC.

why don't they just made it with 2 joy stick just the the real one.. these buttons stuff is horrible.

Good video and a reasonable priced toy/ introduction for those wanting to get into scale RC construction hobby without spending a cheap car. I agree, it would be a lot better with fine soil, sand or even rice. I came on RUclips to see a review of one of these and you didn't disappoint.

Me and my wife love to go camping, and sometimes I get bored and am thinking these things may be in order.
I can pick this excavator up along with the Top Race plastic TR113G front loader, and dump truck for $90.
I've seen quite a few youtube videos on this plastic excavator, and it doesn't seem to pick up much of anything before the stress-relief clicking slips the drive. Is that the case? Does the slipping drive get extremely annoying as it sounds?
You've had this unit for a while. Do you still think it's worth the price (about $40)? Had any problems?
This probuct does not dig well at all you will have to updrade

If there is a replacement part for the wheels made of a metal, it would dig better.

These cheap excavators don't have any power. It's just small motors and plastic gears doing all the job. They can hardly lift the machine itself.

If you decide to buy this make sure you get the servo upgrade for the arm there are 3 of them.if you dont it will hardly dig into dry sand!!!! And just keeps clicking very annoying!

After watching your loger video I used some credit points at gearbest and picked me up one. Should be here anyday now. But the real kicker after watching this video I might have to get the excavator too..I'm going to teach my 3 little girls to pick up their darn lego's on the floors of their bedrooms with these rc's lol.

Hey if any body wants to know how to upgrade that light all you do is take it out and look for the rounded spot light or any with two wires white wire goes to black and black goes to red looks great on my logging excavator and also these are amazing for fpv

Thanks, they perform ok but are still fun. Here in Sydney last week we had some days where the temp got above 40 degrees!!

transmitter really needs to be redesigned, how can you proportionally move the main boom, stick and bucket with any accuracy using buttons. looks like a decent model though. overall its a fail. my opinion.

Yes there’s a mod where you hot glue the gear that holds the clutch gear from moving
The problem nothing stop the movement over the "point of no return" ,i think it crack the gears if you dont know how far you can move the arm before end point.Maybe a stronger clutch give more lifting power and dont crack the gears so fast.There are great Toys but with a 50 % stronger clutch you get tons of more fun. Thank you for information.

HAHAH click indicator.. that's the damn gears stripping :D nice tho, I remember when I was a kid, new bright made a caterpillar construction line, loaders excavators dumptrucks an dozers, they were so much fun, they were corded back then but we use to run them all day long, wish they would bring them back lol.
It's not stripping gears, it's a spring saving the gears from stripping when the limits are hit.
I was curious about this. Everyone was saying there was a clutch of sorts on the joints but on video, it surely sounds like gears stripping
@@jongeddes09 it is often two discs, one with ball shaped bumps and the other with indentations. Both are pressed together with springs. When the torque level is reached, the discs come apart and slip. When the torque reduces, the plates engage again.
