Bug update for July 2024: I have recently run into bug where the warehouse and lakehouse SQL analytics endpoint become completely unresponsive for a workspace. This means no error messages are raised, every query just runs indefinitely. And this is for everything that relies on them. So reports load indefinitely, excel fails to import, odbc times out, pipelines fail. The way to fix it for me is to re-assign the license to the workspace containing these resources. If I don’t do this, they will be unresponsive for hours. The root cause is likely that I am getting shuffled onto some bad warehouse nodes and that reassigning the license is a way to reshuffle myself. This is a huge bug and needs to be resolved for anyone to have faith in Fabric. I imagine some people’s entire workflows have been down for days because they haven’t figured out that reassigning the license fixes the issue.
