It's a personal choice. If the job market is vibrant, best to attain actual field experience, it help an individual to be more critical and do not just take Theory at face value. As a researcher that have industry experience will be able to establish research topic that is truly useful, not merely contribution to Theory creation. With field experience for those in social sciences and management, have option to do DBA, that is equally good compare to PhD. Lastly the independent capability to create jobs or venture with field experienced instead just hoping for academic position (a shrinking opportunity overall).

I carried my studies along the job in construction industry thats why planning Phd in project management. What's your opinion about the topic is it good?
Get industry job or try to start a business after masters. If it goes well then no need for PhD. The PhD can be a huge waste of time and years of lost potential income for most people. Phd might be worth it if you really want that academic life of spending years taking abuse and not making money, or if you actually get lucky and get into a program that is not toxic and abusive.
Great insights. Have a friend trying to make the decision of work first after masters or continue on for phd. He’s leaning towards work first. hard to be out of work world for long time . Plus good insights may come from fellow workers as to areas to specialize. how is your studying going ?
Hello Maam Your video was really helpful.Maam i am 30 years old female.about to finish my M.Ed qualified net Jrf..but i m completely lost what should i do next..in a year i will get married..i never thought of Phd before..at this point i m thinking..should i go for job and part time phd after sometime..or enroll in phd in the upcoming session...o dnt want my personal life to be disturbed becoz of career..things already happening in my life at a delay...i dnt know what to do..
Also I want that... I never thought that PhD is something I can do... Becoz I m not that intelligent..my only concern is that I dnt want to regret in my life ahead... Either ways...
